Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

the problem is that the other guy is not a good user of corel so it's really hard to edit the file. He can't deal with a dxf or dwg file format. In previous projects it was easy to copy paste the model from PDF into corel! Now the model have many curves and it's not working properly!

Setup the image for Match Photo in a separate SketchUp file. After you have it properly set, copy the building from your project and paste it into that new file. Move the model around as needed to get it aligned with the image. Project your textures and then replace the building in your project with the textured one. Please complete your profile with the SketchUp version along with operating system. That info helps us help you.

Hi Box Yes I can use two finger zoom, but then again, I have to move the hand away from the keyboard... and I actually think the touch ring works better for me, than the two finger zoom. I think I'm just asking for something that isn't possible... Jorgensen

The file you shared is corrupted. Very likely there was a delay in writing to the USB drive. We've seen similar file format problems in the past when files are not locally (internally) saved. It seems to most often happen when saving to the cloud but I've seen it once in awhile when saving to a USB device. The .skb files are backup files that are normally created by SketchUp during autosave. If you can find them you could try renaming them to .skp and see if they will open. If they didn't get corrupted, too, they should open. It's rare that corrupted files can be recovered. Are you using SketchUp 2016 Make as indicated by your profile? Might be the sort of thing where the fastest option is to just get busy creating a new model. This time save it to the local drive and only copy it to the USB drive if you need to make it portable.

You are not completely clear in your explanation... If you have two Graphics-Cards on your computer, then if you are currently set up to use the 'poor' one, then you need to open the NVIDIA Control Panel and ensure that SketchUp is set to use this better GC under 3d-apps, and also let SketchUp choose its own settings... Having had a major system failure and rebuild has probably meant that your computer's GC settings are set up wrongly...

If it is important to publish your work with EDG3D, please send me your model by PM and I can set it up for you manually. Thank you for your understanding. Hi Gabor i just need to know if this is a temporary problem or if this project is planned to close. Why do I ask? my customers are very happy to be able to view the models in the browser. A very simple and easy process to share a 3d image instead of a model.

You can access advanced camera settings in SketchUp on the PC and adjust the near and far planes manually. Experiment with those settings. You may be able to reduce clipping but you may also find you create worse problems for yourself. [image: 2u9E_Screenshot-6_5_20208_32_49AM.png] In the Ruby console type Sketchup.send_action 10624 And hit Enter Someone made a little plugin that adds an item in the Camera menu. I disremember who and they didn't put their name on it. Probably TIG is the one to thank. AdvancedCameraSettings.rb

@tig said: ...What path does the Preferences show for template files ? Thanks Tig for your clarifications and these exactly reflect my preferences. For my custom templates I have set: C:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2019\SketchUp\Templates for the tempates directory. While these "annoying" templates had been actually located here: C:\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 2019\Resources\en-US\Templates First and 0nly the complete deleting of all the original templates within the program path directory made them disappear from the welcome window.
