Animator Follow Path Problem
-
I have been trying to generate an Animator video of a walking person following a path but have run into a problem.
I have successfully generated the clips to make my character walk along a path. Yes, I know it is not great and has some problems but my concentration right now it so understand the process. In this first gif file below, you will see that I have generated the motions I want to use (for now) and they work.
Then I added the path I want the character to follow
Here is a shortened version with the crazy movements
What the heck am I doing wrong?

It might be the reference for the rotation of legs and arms. Did you use Spin or Rotate?
Possibly you could post the model.

I used rotate........the file is too big to upload. It is 6Mb. I will see if I can reduce it so you can see what is happening.

Fredo6, no matter what I do, I cannot get the file size down to less that 5Mb so I can upload it. I have deleted a bunch of instances of the sequences but I cannot get the file size down. I also do not seem to be able to delete sequences and clips. I have tried purging unused sequences and clips but they do not seem to delete.
BTW: I am using SU 2020.1 Pro on Windows 10.

This may be the problem if you did not take a reference pivot on the human body.

Yes, I think so also. I just did some quick testing and had figured that out. I am having a little problem selecting an accurate and consistent pivot point on the body but will try some more.
Thanks for your reply and if you have something that will give me a good understanding of how to pick a pivot point I would appreciate it. I also figured out that in this instance I need to make sure the pivots are on the X axis to get things to run correctly.
I am also still having some problems deleting sequences and clips.

OK - I am back on the right track. Need to make some adjustments but at least it is now acting the way it should. Making me feel kind of foolish with the silly mistakes I made.
