Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

i'll let you alone with this, but i have a feeling if you ever accomplish what your attempting you'll discover it doesn't accomplish what you thought it would. good luck, it is an interesting challenge if nothing else and some good may come from it.

Hi, there is no best advice unfortunately. The best way i found for me is to project or to drape a line of the proposed road on the terrain. Then i select the line piece by piece and weld it. Then i use the FollowMeAndKeep tool to generate the profil of the road along the line. Then i remove all the overlapping faces of the terrain and use the sandbox tool "From Contours" to modify the terrain step by step. The result almost looks like a real street, but not quite. Thanks Gai - that is it. However I can't seem to find the link to the download [Later] AHA - I found the download up at the top of the page: Web Exporter And the other tricky thing is that the plugin itself is called swivelButtonPlugin.rb

TIG's script + purge model from model info (or purgeall.rb ruby) works great. Thank you all. From now on, no more materials than those strictly needed!

@gaieus said: You welcome Luca. It could also be wrapped instead of projected but I guess the shape is not that regular for it. SketchUp's texturing tools are kind of limited but what you can use, can be quite powerful in certain situations. thanks, my pleasure to be here. actually I'm using SU for a long time but until now I never needed to work with textures. see you

Is a long time but .... for me the problem persist! I state that my English is what it is ... not good .... So perhaps I might be confusing ... if you do not understand let me know! hello! honoluludesktop, xrok1, and anyone familiar with effective methods to make the room match could you explain how you would do well to make a "camera match" "with pictures of this kind, I therefore have no obvious images perpendicular planes?? honoluludesktop, maybe I'm lacking in basic knowledge of the reconstruction but your perspective is based on what facts? can give me detailed directions please? xrok1, are you saying that pointing out a plan in the "reality" then I could stick the photo .... Could you explain better??

Open up those imported components for editing, Sam! I was thinking about the common problem with Intel and Ati graphics where tools select objects that are behind the intended surface (the "reverse picking driver bug". Anssi

To clarify, PageExIm should save the shadow settings if the scene saves them, but it will NOT export/import any model info data, and location is model info data, not scene data (since v6, I think). If you're having trouble with shadow settings, first make sure the scenes are set to remember that data. If you're still having problems, contact me.

Hi folks. Another possibility is to use an actual unit as your "unit". For example, draw a line that is 5 cm for a 5 "units" line. Do the whole model and, when done, scale up accordingly. In your example, you would scale up by a factor of 80. Just ideas.
