@mike amos said: TBH, I have little clue about TM, still using Twilight render. Still playing with the settings and for example, saved the image as HDR and EXR (In Twilight render) to see what was what. Much more depth of lighting info in these file types but frankly I am clueless as to how to manipulate the result. It would certainly add a lot of time to the render process as both are pretty grainy. Twilight. Oops. My bad. Sigh, this is why I'm taking a break. Between the weather and seasonal allergies, I am not firing on all cylinders.

High level on a far off planet, or perhaps a sub teranean living space with a daulight level illumiation screen beyond the 'windows'. Alien world, a bit Outer limits perhaps. The source of the bavkplate is, https://skybox.blockadelabs.com/4ed46d0bf5549ba215c9e3a5c506e3e6 [image: hird_StudentRezAlienSkies1910p55m.jpg]

Two types of sky portal, one where you see the hdri image and a second which just directs the light values for the hdri minus the image. I sometimes use clay as you describe, it depends on how the mood takes me. Right now my pain levels are on the high side so I tend more to the experimental side and this series is adding one elements at a time a little bit more extreme than I usually do. I have a LOT of time to kill. [image: 21Ez_EmitterTypesTwilight.jpg]

It's good distraction from "&hit happens" which is a fair cop I suppose. Anything to put off a spell in a hotel with comfortable wallpaper.

Dead end on this scene. Still can't handle lots of vegetation.

Thank L i am! A photo reference does make a difference. I could not have done the country bridge scene without one.

Your modeling skill is admirable, I never can imagine doing such modeling! Imperfection in texturing is a key point. The other key point is lighting. If I were you, I would try more decent lighting and preferably use an Image-based lighting technique. My preference is HDRI lighting as found that the direct light setting is really hard to control. Keep posting more renders from your astounding model!

Thanks Mike. Going to keep up the experimenting. Adding small details, tweaking textures and trying different lighting schemes.
