    Hi, Below is an example of one of my extensions: require 'extensions.rb' require 'LangHandler.rb' # Extension Manager $uStrings = LanguageHandler.new("Layer Manager") Layer_Manager_Extension = SketchupExtension.new("Layer Manager", "Layer Manager/fr_layer_manager_v5.rb") Layer_Manager_Extension.description="Plugin description goes here") Layer_Manager_Extension.name= "Layer Manager" Layer_Manager_Extension.creator = "Didier Bur" Layer_Manager_Extension.copyright = "11.2005, CRAI - Didier Bur" Layer_Manager_Extension.version = "1.0 for SU v5" Sketchup.register_extension Layer_Manager_Extension, true

@gaieus said: It depends which plugin you installed. The plugin tab is only there when there is a plugin that registers itself under that menu. Most of them do but others may go to anywhere (even in the context menu). So which plugin was it? If you go to SketchUp > Preferences > Extensions and activate ruby script examples and / or utilities, some default plugins get activated and your plugin menu appears. In any case, after installing or activating a plugin needs a restart of SU). Gaieus, it was one of thomthom's plugins, Material Replacer (1.1.0) — 12 January 2010. I followed your instructions on to activate the ruby scripts and the plugin tab is now there. I had several plugins in sketchup7, but right now there is only a "cost" plugin. I still don't see the material changer plugin, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Thanks for your help Paul

You can already do this in a line using the existing Move-Tool +Ctrl for 'copy', pick or type offset, and then immediately type x6 to make six copies at the spacing of the first or /6 to make six copies fitting within the over all distance you picked. Similarly for a radial array use Rotate+Ctrl and a picked or typed angle with x6 to repeat six copies each with that angle or /6 to fit six copies within that over all angle... There are tools like Component-Stringer that will distribute copies along paths etc if you want more complex alignments or scaling as you go for example...

Hi, No need to convert it to CSV. Here is what Autode$k says about ptsb format: @unknownuser said: Pointcount X Y Z Intensity R G B (Intensity is a float value 0-1) Example: 2 0 0 0 .5 128 128 128 1 1 0 .5 128 128 128 Quite simple isn't it So open your file in a text editor, erase first line (number of points), save it to 'somefilename.txt' and it should work. Just set the points cloud reader first dialog to use a space delimiter, and second dialog to set X,Y,and Z coordinates as the first, second and third datum of each line (see below). I've tried this example and it works. [image: qLov_cloud1.jpg] [image: mITv_cloud2.jpg] Regards,

Well I have a bunch of experience several hours a day over a years time there abouts, my problem is the rooms are large and albeit rectangular they are in odd dimensions, I can fix that, by changing them to multiples of 24". then array the first two 1" wide strips (one on X and one on Y)then if needed for other rooms that are odd sized I can manually draw the odd spaced wall angles "bars". What happened last night when I posted my first message was I used guides 1"-24"-1", and the same with the 48" tees then drew real lines over them, and closed the ends. I had a senior moment and didn't think of using an array technique. So this morning I will try again.

I now it is mainly for Podium users but can actually be useful for anyone. Nice plants and textures for sure (and hopefully the light fixtures will be good "teasers" to buy Podium - is that was also the intent)

@deanlegg said: Hi Tig I found the other folders and entered them , but when I open SU it says error in loading Any ideas? You need to do it one script at a time. Extract them into a temporary location and look at the folder structure. Check Plugins to see if files are NOT in the same locations - if so remove them. Now copy the files and files within their subfolders into Plugins. Restart and see if that one script works...

Are your faces not too small? (SU has issues with generating very tiny faces). Try to scale everything up by 10 (or even 100), run the plugin and then scale back.

Just to add that scene 'Cameras' can be adjusted using AdamB's Scenetweaker plugin. No FOV adjustments but handy if you want to make changes to positions.
