Its like my Win98 Trispective that has ray-tracing rendering (and animation) built in; ole links to excel and word; full animation (including moving objects and ray-tracing, etc.) export to everything; surfaces, solids, and vector drawing, etc., etc.... for $400.00 (at that time). To be fair, it has the same scattering menu problems that SU has:-)

seems awfully small, but if windows/osx can recognise it as a second screen you should be able to use it for SU stuff. I imagine itd be good for leaving the component browser etc. on and so save a bit o space in the main window.

Look at how Duchamp use the urinal.. yet we considered it as art and has influence our modern installation artist.... If we go back at the Dada period, Dada was intended as against art in itself.. but what happen it became an art movement in itself although the founders wanted to go against art... do we appreciate this movement base on the media? I guess partly, but most of the art critique said its about the context... will be 3d rendering could be consider as an art? well back to my main point then.. is art all about media? no not at all.. most of the art work were glorified not by the media itself but the context behind the media.. in using 3d rendering.. is there any meaning you want to share? is there a context? yeah why not us then be the one who will push to this.. use 3d rendering in art.. many will say its not.. good let's make it more controversial. the more its talk of the town, the more you will exemplify its context.. personally, i considered 3d rendering and 3d media could be an art in itself.. are all 3d rendering art/ don think so. but this media could still be use in the world of art..

Here is another option: Most if not all Net books have a VGA plug in the side of the unit. Plug a spare VGA cable from the NET book directly into the back of the LDC TV's VGA port. Plug a male to male mini RCA cable from the speaker output on the Net book to the speaker input on the TV Adjust the video resolution on the Net book to maximize output to TV.

I could be wrong but I am under the impression that as long as your app. can be run from a networked hyper terminal (not sure of the name), that the virtual graphic adapter is not a problem. Currently, a memory stick containing a VPC compatible virtual drive loaded with its own OS and app, will run on any machine that has a VM that can access that virtual drive. Not bad for a first step. With multi core hardware, even overhead will be less of a problem with speed. In any case, running a Win98 app. on a new machine will be faster then then it originally ran.
