Do you mean the window where to choose fog color and distance? Look in the menu -> Window -> Fog (just between 'Shadows' and 'Photomatch')

Not confusing things at all - it was mentioned a page or two back, and part of the same subset of problems.

thanks, I checked out the thread and one of the things he says is that his plug in is NOT intended for object animation. That could be my problem. I may need to look for a plug-in that is more object oriented.

That won't make a face for you as you would need a closed, coplanar set of edges for that script. That's actually something I have never used in my life as redrawing an edge to heal a face is always easier than to dig three levels down to find a plugin and then start selecting bounding edges meticulously.

Hi Brandon, No images. Please, forget imageshack (a lot of members have problems with it anyway) and attach the images here instead.

Hy thanks for that. I'll have a look to see if there are any dc walls already made. If not I'll have a go myself. Making the components is to hard, but making them dynamic to what i want them to do is. For me anyway. Thanks again. Luke

@jean-franco said: Hi Tre and welcome here. Select the circle (not the surface) then open the context menu (mouse right click) > Entity Info and there you can change the segments number. Note however that you can only do this for a limited period of time after you draw that circle. Once affected by other geometry (like PushPulling for instance), the segment count of the Entity info box will be greyed out and you cannot change it any more. Best is to do what Alan says. And welcome to SCF. ;9

think of a zip file as a suitcase.. it's one package that you can put a lot of things in and carry as one.. otherwise, you'll have to download/transport all of your socks/shirts/etc separately.. here are the direct links to the zips you need (2 separate zips) -- LibFredo 3.4b.zip: http://forums.sketchucation.com/download/file.php?id=34712 FredoScale 2.0g.zip: http://forums.sketchucation.com/download/file.php?id=27660 you can unzip on your desktop and move the files into your plugin folder (and i actually suggest doing this just so you can understand what's happening) when you unzip LibFredo3.4b, you will have two items: a folder named LIBFREDO6_Dir_34 a file named LibFredo6.rb when you unzip FredoScale 2.0g, you will have two items: a folder named FREDOSCALE_Dir_20 a file named ZLoader__FredoScale.rb take the 4 items that i've highlighted in red and move them to your sketchup plugins folder --C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 7\Plugins\ -- relaunch sketchup and the plugin will be installed.

I use WinMovieMaker. It comes with windows, and includes a limited amount of editing capabilities. Don't know how Smooth Animation works. I create a sequence of scenes (transision 4 sec, delay 0), export as .avi at 30fps, then move it into WinMovieMaker to edit. The final .wav movie is played back with WinMediaPlayer.

Hi Morpheu, hi folks. When you choose 3DS in the pull down list of the import window, click on the "Options" button. Choose a unit that will cause a scaling up when importing. For example, if the model is in millimeters, import as centimeters or even meters. This will scale the model up by 10 or 1000. Then, the small facets shall close unless they are very tiny on the original model. If it seems to work OK when in SU, scale down the whole model by the corresponding factor of 0.1 or 0.001. Notice that SU will not accept 0.001 as a scale factor. For such a factor, you must proceed in two steps like 0.1 and then 0.01 or the reverse. Otherwise, you can repair probably all missing faces in one operation with the following procedure: 1 - Select all. 2 - Scale using a sufficient scale factor. Try 100 first. 3 - Use the Menu Tool --> Utilities --> Create Face This shall close all faces that where not, provided that their perimeter is coplanar. 4 - Since everything shall still be selected, scale down by 100 (use a scale factor of 0.01. Just ideas.

Hi Noblerabbit, hi folks. For your question number 1 : Yes, see attached SU file for ideas (Scenes 1 to 3). For your question number 2 : No, unless there is a pluggin that can do that. However, you can use SU to help in the tedious task of optimizing the cuts. Don't forget to add some extra for the blade width (around 1/8 inch or 3 mm depending on the type of blade). See attached SU file for ideas (Scenes 4 to 8). Furniture parts list.skp
