Can anyone help please have downloaded the above plugin into SU8 plugin folder, the icons have been enabled via the preference menu, however when i try to use the function no matter what sequence i attempt, the plugin will not join,subtract,trim the entities selected etc, had a look on the site to see if there were others who had similar difficulties with this plugin, would really like to get this to work.THANKS bbbb

Chris back again I must be sure to give you the correct info the solids I was referring to was the OSCoolean plugin that is supposed to work with the SU8 free version, sorry about that. bbbb

Hello Chris, thank you for your help and i apologise for takng up so much of your time, as you kindly suggested I revisited the problem and decided to transfer the plugins in chuncks until the load errors appeared and narrowed it down to a problen in plugin point.rb when this was removed things appeared to be ok,but I cant seem to get the solids for SU8 free to work the icons are there but nothing happens on selection, any thoughts apart from me being a pest, I would love to get this really useful plugin to work thanks again bbbb

Hello Chris, I should have updated my profle I now use windows 7,i had another go I deleted the first set of plugins from SU8 and then coppied all the plugins from SU7 and pasted the plugins across to SU8 at launch of SU8 there were numerous load errors, should I uninstall SU8 and start again? regards bbbb.

Good morning Chris,thanks for the speedy reply, the method i attempted was a sample of the plugin folders coppied from 7 and pasted to 8 plugin, then as you suggested window >>>preferences >>>extensions however the plugin items did not appear in the tick boxes for enabing !! any ideas? thanks for your help.bbbb

help required attemted to load plugins i use in skp7 to skp 8 without success, carried out the method that worked in skp7 no joy,also loaded the solids plugin but it does not respond to any selections.
When plugins copied across from skp 7 to 8 plugin label for drop down selection menu does not appear on banner any ideas? thanks in advance bbbb

I thought I would unbolt the plugin and start from scratch and guess what it worked, I had attempted this previously with no luck, sorry if I put you chaps to any inconvenience, it looks like something got loaded in there that was not meant to be.

How can i confirm if the files have been placed in the correct location? would it help if i sent a screen shot of the plugin folder relating to the (freescale files}, not sure what is meant by "nested" is it like the russian dolls? i.e files within files??
Sorry i cant seem to grasp the concept, its probably straight forward to most!!!!!!but i will keep plug in away please excuse the punn.

Thank you gentlemen sorry about the delay in answering, just got home from hospital a heart attack and no matter how hard I pleaded my wife would not let me have the laptop, Im on the mend and have to take it easy, still cant get the plugin to work it appears ive blundered somewhere but i will give it another go before i get back to you, just for info when you go into the plugin file everything appears to be in place, its a mistery!!

Thank you very much for your assistance and advice, the old saying is true if all else fails read the instructions, do you think i have likely made a similar error with the Bezier package as after the load up I was not able to activate the toolbar icon but the plugin seems to be working ok as my son says to me often dad "(stay step away from the computer you dont know what your doing", he's not wrong however im not too bad at woodworking which why im keen to learn SU to help in furniture design. Newbies such as I are fortunate to have the expertise and talent at our disposal given freely.
