Share your SketchUp file so we can see what you are working with. The extension works fine if it is used the way it is designed to work. What version of SketchUp are you actually using? You put Free/Make 2022 in your forum profile but there is no such version.

For a curve you have two choices : 1 - Use the same method as what was shown for a straight edge. 2 - Explode the curve then delete unwanted segments. Of course parts of segments can be deleted if method 1 is used.

@dave r said: Exporting at a larger size helps show shorter segments but it also makes them thinner so you have to watch that. The same sketchy style was used for all the different export sizes in this image. [image: 8652776711_50981cb720_c.jpg] Another thing that helps when working with sketchy styles is to weld edges. In this example both of these are exactly the same shape, The curves of the left hand one are all exploded. The curves on the right hand one are all welded. [attachment=0:14mc8kaj]<!-- ia0 -->Screenshot - 11_16_2023 , 5_54_33 AM.png<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:14mc8kaj] Oh! This is really good advice. In particular, I didn't think the line would change depending on welding. I think I can try various things according to your advice. Thank you for the details! Thank you so much for your help, and I hope you have a happy day!

Is there any other way I can release these seats? I released your seats. I'm not arguing with you. I'm not trying to tell you or your company to change its policies. I'm only relaying what I've seen from a large number of users who have ended up with files that are corrupted to the point of being unrecoverable. In the last week I personally dealt with three or four different users who had been working with files saved directly to network servers. In each case the files were no longer viable. It doesn't seem to be only when a manual save is performed. Often the problem appears to happen during auto-save. I'm not telling anyone what to do regadring this. Only what I've seen from other users. I've seen enough problem files from others that there's no way I would work on files saved to a network server or the cloud. I would always download them to my internal drive to work on them and then upload back to the server or cloud location. You're right that a local drive can die but it isn't as common an event as a break in a network connection. I back up all of my files to a second internal drive and also publish them to my Trimble Connect storage just in case. I'm glad you've never had problems and I hope you never do.

Thanks for your query! Absolutely, there are many excellent beginner tutorials for creating neon signs and text. YouTube is a great place to start; search for "neon sign text tutorial" or "neon sign effect for beginners." You'll find step-by-step guides covering software like Photoshop, Illustrator, or even free alternatives like GIMP. Websites like Skillshare and Udemy also offer comprehensive courses on neon sign design. These resources will provide you with the knowledge and skills to craft stunning neon light signage, whether for personal projects or professional design work. Happy creating!

He is referencing Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy... https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/for-math-fans-a-hitchhikers-guide-to-the-number-42/ 42 is the answer to everything and to nothing but not related to your issue. You are mostly likely experiencing crashes because of geometry formation rather than the angle. But there's also many unknowns as to why. If I were to ask SketchUp to round a corner with 60 segments at a distance of 0.25mm I would expect it to crash. You need to provide more context for someone to offer a reason or solution.

There are several ways to get actual geometry from an image. Import the image as an image and trace it with the various drawing tools, use a PNG with transparen't background and Image Trimmer from TIG's SKM Tools extension, or use some raster to vector converter to generate the line work as .dxf which you can then import into SketchUp. Which is best depends on the image and what you need out of it.

Je pense que c'est quand j'ai posté ici que tout s'est débloqué, donc à priori un message suffit, mais ce serais bien de le noter quelque part, non ? Mais merci de votre soutien. Gilles. I think it was when I posted here that everything was unlocked, so a priori a message is enough, but it would be nice to note it somewhere, right? But thank you for your support. Gilles

@shannakae said: Hi there, I am new to this forum. I am an interior designer and have been using 3d programs like form z and sketch up for about 12 years now. I have recently decided to commit myself to mastering Sketchup. After spending hours upon hours going through tutorials and trying out the trial versions of Maya and Cinema 4d I finally realized that Sketchup was Sooooooooo much easier to use (for my purposes, interior design). I have been using Sketchup with a renderer for the past 7 to 8 years but had not really committed myself to learning it or exploring all that it had to offer. After trying to learn Maya and 4D Sketchup is like a DREAM! Now I see that there are all these great plugins that allow for fantastic sculpting and realistic modeling (sooo easy to use). So far here is what I have set up. I have Sketchup pro (so i can create my own custom furniture and options for easy interior design changes and for easy furniture and fixture schedules with pricing etc...) I have V-ray for rendering, and I have installed Artisan (for creating complex organic shapes). I was reading about something called "round corners" that I am about to install... Does anyone have any additional cool plugins or advise for me for creating hight quality furniture and interior design renderings for my interior design business? Thanks so much I look forward to being a part of this community! Hello. I am also new to interior design and use SketchUp. Two months ago, I started work on redecorating my apartment. Independently worked on interior design. The most difficult moment was the decoration of the walls. As a result, I decided to just make the walls in gray-beige tones, purchased wallpaper in https://fancywalls.eu/peel-and-stick-wallpaper-wholesale/ and pasted over the walls with them. I will attach a photo below. Seems to look good [image: IEoi_images.jpg]

Rich I tried copying the text of one layer, deleted it, then as you said, Paste-in-place. I then grouped it with some other text (the screws) and made its layer "DOC" Then I moved the camera, and all the text moved. So, not really worth spending a lot of time on. I'll just add a Layer specific to each text block, and show it as needed. Thanks again.

The offset of a set of faces is not equivalent to the individual offset of each face. You have to make the calculation for the curve. Since your spiral is in 2D, it is not too complex. You either compute the intersection of the offset of each segment, or you take the bissector at each nagle and offset the vertices by the offset value divided by the cosinus of the angle.
