There isnt a way of controlling it on the PC as far as i know. If it isnt showing up its probably a bug, have you updated to the latest version?

@kwistenbiebel said: If I understand you correctly, you want a push pull tool that deletes all the geometry intersecting. That is actually a nice idea. PushPull + Boolean substraction in 1 tool...Perhaps a ruby guru picks up on this idea? Thanks for responding!!! You are my friend..if that is ok.. I see History Based Modeling easing out by combined commands already with too weird workflow, not to mention adding of the Dynamic Based Modeling. Although history tree (an outliner) has it's place for the the top down method ((actually the all-around-where-am-I method by 'liquidplays'~solidworks~ determines this all too well especially when adding constraints of history)). Pro E.. and many others have re-routed Sketchup ways, basing my opinion. But I'm still virgin to Dynamic Components so I don't know for sure. I did read Dynamic Modeling is the way of the future.

I'm wrong not to make myself more clear.. I'm sorry. I mean to explain that the other commands would stay the same for Mama Tools like Target..(better than pan in my opinion)..But Mama Tools automated zoom is choppy with my mouse so a walk command could be in place here.. Most definitely somehow have the select arrow tool automated at the end.. Thanks for moderating Remus.. And opinions matter.

Sketchup itself is the perfect BAT tool @unknownuser said: A long time ago I downloaded gmax, to creat buildings for simcity 4. After a while I mentioned that this program is really hard to work with. Yesterday I read somewhere on the sketchup website that it is possible to use sketschup for the creating of buildings for simcity 4. The one who wrote that tekst did not explain how, and I couldn't find his emailadress either, so I can't ask him. Is it possible to export sketchup moddels into gmax? @unknownuser said: Its a bit more complicated but it will work indefinetly with the free version of SU. First you'll need a copy of blender. Then you need to export your model form free SU as a google earth 4 file. Once youve done this, find the file and change its extension to .zip (.kmz files are actually just zip files in disguise.) If you then open up the zip file you'll find a folder called 'models', in there you will find your model with the extension .dae. This file format can be imported in to blender, and then from blender you can export your model as a .3ds

The 'Redefine Thumbnail on Save' control checkbox is in an unnatural location (at least in my opinion.) It is currently on the 'File' page, of the 'Model Info' ToolDialog (beneath the 'Description' textarea.) This space (on the ModelInfo dialog,) could be better used for text input controls for the Model.name and Model.tags attributes (which it seems can currently only be set thru rubyscript.) THIS thread should discuss where the **Model.name** and **Model.tags** attribute edit controls should be located, and the use of these attributes. It would be better (or more natural) if the 'Redefine Thumbnail(s) on Save' checkbox, was located on the 'General' page, in the 'Saving' section, of the 'Preferences' Dialog (ie: it would/should be a global setting for all models.) To discuss where and if the 'Redefine Thumbnail on Save' control checkbox should be / or shouldn't be moved to / or IF it shouldn't be moved / and whether it should be a global setting for all models (or not.) Please go to thread: "Thumbnail Checkbox / Model.name / Model.tags"

Thats why i think it could be a bit memory hungry. I thought it could work like a viewport type box (like in AutoCAD).

SU makes a career out of making people write plugins for things that are pretty basic and should already be there. specially by a version 7!!!! this is more like a version 3 software IMO since there hasn't been a major change of tools since then. if you add up all the new stuff since ver3 you may have an excuse to call it ver3.5, maybe. anyway, sorry i couldn't help.

1 extra option in the entity info box: Export quantities I would like to be able to name and or save the layer and area result from entity info to a work book or a template? So that I can add quantities from several components or just quantites from simple models. Sounds easy but must not be?

You are all too kind! I first ran SketchUp (was it v3 or v4) on my old college computer, a pentium III mx, if I recall correctly. It's specs (speed, memory, and storage) were just about on par with the iPhone's. So I'm sure it isn't a hardware limitation, especially if some of the extras are stripped out (If you're in the field, do you really need sketchy edges, or shadows?) Of course it wouldn't be simple, you'd have to toss the 3button mouse interface (which is perhaps one of the best SketchUp innovations IMHO), and come up with a multi-touch solution to deal with 3D. Also, measurement entry would be very important, but done without a keyboard. That's gotta be hard - I haven't seen it done very well anywhere, yet. I'd settle for a model markup tool (taking xrok1's suggestion a bit further) - no actual edits, but a simple interface to add notes for later editing. Actually, I'll settle for whatever the Google Guys come up with. Unless I become a programmer, I'll take what I can get;)

okay; this aspect seems to have been drastically imporved with 7.1 , it's a great move on the right direction... i've tested some orbiting moving with a large model, and everything was good... working on it will probably confirm this... good work Google team. keep enhancing this aspect of Sketchup...
