    • Work in progress-medical related

This is an article of manufactural proceduring of relating to the medical field.. Just a model but I like the direct approach of SU.

I gotta finish with Sketchy Physics and add it to my other portfolio, in goal of, getting a job.. Any job will do where I'm inventing. This picture does little justice.. I should show ya'll the bearings on the other side when I post it completed and I should show ya'll a better displayed picture ratio. Oh, and show ya'll how it works..
Take a guess!! at how it should work.. Hints: Tubing, Saw blade, and Tape.

    • RE: Smooth splines

And by the way, 2000s sides is not important here because we want to manipulate, snap, interence and all kind of stuff that is not possible efficiently with 2000s.. 2000s sides gave me claustrophobia from constraining 'solids'. Try my procedure and you'll see a slick curved surface.

    • RE: Smooth splines

Convert to Uniform B spline. Evens things out and shrinks the curve from control points at the original vertices,, typing 100 smoothes.. This is another indirect modeling method kinda like nurbing by adjusting the control points.. So think of it that way. Do it to every single one you want... Make sure you are square and connected. Also mend the last curve like the 1st profile (so click it again on it). If you move the last curve above and out of the way by inferencing, then you can be 'completed' using the original profile-not mended- yet hatched profile section from extruding by edges of the last rail polyline as a section slice extruding it down an intersecting profile. Then Intersect with model. Only deal is you are going to have to select all of the lines (once being an extruded polyline being crossed creates another curved set of broken line segments) that will have been intersected with model, so convert them into a polyline of that section slice by box selecting to show them off. Or just hiding them will do by the shift eraser command cause it is essentially the individual edges of part of the new geometry.. I don't recommend you worry about it unless you plan to rail that 'hatch profile curve.. So Edge Style Selection from Menu Bar-> can give that edge when selecting profiles and display edges.. Other wise you'll see tiny tiny holes. But that is actually at every single line edge in SU.. Amazing how well these plugin's work and how much more can be made considering this as a modeling program... Much respect!!

    • RE: Past my exams on financial en tax specialist

Good job!! Kinda what I did after my degree. I recommend a long pillow and folding type recliner-chair with the bungee cords.. It looks like it can go on a picnic.. but this chair is the most comfortable chair ever.. No pain for 6 weeks. Anyway, great job!! may your future be in good collaboration with others.

I'm glad some people are still honest. It might just be my creative side.. I'll stop.

    • Slide Tool

Where component slides along a selected line..contrained essentially.. while co-instantly indicating at second indication point guided by the 'mouse movement control' to move cofacial, push pull or tape measure perpendicular while sliding along the way. Click the mouse button to stop and stick command to geometry.

    • Offset Axis Angle Rotation command

Let's say I have an arc.. I want to rotate that arc. to a certain rotational degree. I don't want the part (or line - arc line) to stick and I don't want to delete lines that are in the way of the actual place where it can be moved after Offset (Indicating) Axis Angle Rotation command is used.

So the object moves at a clicked point on the object co-instantly with another point that is around a bunch of geometry that I want locked.. I know I could group and copy and paste into area..

I'd like this because the co-instant ability so how would be crucial to opening the flood gates for other commands. Maybe Ruby writing a procedure with the ability in determining the point and other line geometry, as in faces up to edges surrounding that point to make the second co-instant angle indication might work.

On-set procedures (normally indicating drawing) is the greatest though.. Maybe some kind of command for locking lines as not to get in the way would be good for now as well. And I'll just go ahead and make this another group.. The logic here that i don't want is making a group as a last resort when creating a new part with a tight class of fit.

Thank you SU Friend and Moderator!!

Upon revised procedures.. I've managed to copy needed indication lines at a necessary angle from the opposite end that I've managed to be out of the way.. SU is so simple sometimes..
Well, as the saying goes, you are less likely to fall off if starting to climb a ladder at the bottom. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • RE: Line ,Polyline, Perimeter Ratio Divider or Extender w/

NICE!!! I know scaled and grouped object gauge plays a huge part to be simple. I think it could be tweeked to show dashed lines upon indicating the points at which the command then executes.. This might be a great solution in the mean time.

Cheers!! Nice name by the way!!

    • RE: [Plugin] Name Group on Creation

I can Group an arc but just afterwards context menu options erase sometimes right after using the plugin, which it, I think is when auto save is on.. I've turned off my auto save just now so maybe that will help.
EDIT: I have no idea why Sketchup keeps context menu bugging. Usually I'll just shutdown SU and restart to go back to normal.. Well, I'm going to start picking on other Ruby's.

      Anyway,
This is a nice way to inference polylines and arcs lines without being so sticky.. and not having to line draw to create a face.. plus I can constrain the line tangentially on opposing edges as with clicking the move command. It is worth a donation..and hopefully sooner than later I'll help you out as you have helped me.

      Thank you JIM.

.And I'll follow your simply directions for I was not still using group command.

My revised thoughts, to Jim, TomTom, and sketchuanions:

I figure now how Sketchup is even easier than I had imagined with moving an arc tangential to two 90 angle line edges with inferencing.. So the ease of Sketchup fooled me thinking I was using the group name but in reality not sketching any differently. I love NOT having to go through a list of constraints.. Although a constraint button would be nice for a few circumstances.. Although SU has made most automatic.

Dynamic Components is where it all starts!!

    • Extrude by Edges by Rails by Scale option or an added icon

Option can be to measure how much scale by surrounding edges at ends of selected face, of which facing each two selected directions. Or to extrude edges then measure by added space indication at corners of extruded lines; thus selecting surrounding edges to fill in the side blanks between extruded edges and opoosing faces..

My bet is that it has crossed TIG'S unique, gifted mind before any others like me.
