Flac is the best compressed format you can have. Still, PCM format sounds a bit better though. (wav, aiff, SD2, PCM etc ) Of course, a 24 96 or 192 sound format is much much better. Being a mac user, indeed, iTunes under OSX is a superb playback device, but not the crap that itunes sells around. And, yes, I have a very very expensive HI End system here. (still professionally mixing and mastering works of some friends) Nothing to compare with the already mentioned setups on this forum. BTW, indeed Pete, vinyl sounds great, if you have the appropriate hi end player and the original vinyls. Else, better not. A 24 96 format, using HiEnd equipment like A to D converters, phono stage (valve based-better) etc, can capture most of it on a digital format.

Thanks Nigel, I thought this thread was dying a slow death.... I don't use ACAD myself but do import / export to it, hence the question. I have used '.' [fullstop] in SU layers but don't know how it exports. Maybe a test export with many punctuation marks should yield an answer...

@unknownuser said: I'd hire the local thugs and shake that DWG out of the surveyor! Now I understand - you can't get the DWG for some reason, or it was created on something other than ACAD. I've never run into this yet. For some reason, Nick I do! I'd much rather have sent to me a nice clean survey DWG but no, the client always expects you to create a little magic!

Great to see such talent with such sophistication. Young talent is cool, check out this kid, I know the clip looks like it was shot with an aubergine, but nobody knows how this unedited version got out only an hour from being shot. There is edited versions of Jack vidgen on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLkb7UcUcz8

Another aspect to this is that an Architect will communicate in a variety of styles and the casual styles reflect the conceptual nature of the presentation and seem to imply that they should not be taken to literally. Conversely as the design development continues everything becomes more precise and a more disaplined drawing technic is usually employed. I think this is one of the reasons I love sketchup and layout because I can change the style effortlessly. I have seen clients become nervous when presented with a concept in a hard line format. One more thing, good sheet composition and organization of information is always high on my list.

If the group hasn't been 'transformed' [rotated, scaled etc] then the inference will work 'externally'. However, if the group has been changed the inference won't work. You'll just have to draw some guide-lines...

I've looked at automating this but my suggested fix seems to fail when resetting the component's attributes.... So I won't be adding it to PurgeAll any time soon

My son (10 yr) and daughter (6yr) are crazy about their diablo's. They are doing tricks with that thing that amazes me every time I see them practising. (I can't even keep the damn thing rollin ...)

The collection of Marvin Windows on the Warehouse which are dynamic components are the best example of a successfully created DC's which make it easier and quicker for the end user to model. These DC dialog gives you the ability to quickly change the window size, exterior and interior color as well as with the interact tool you can open and close the windows. Some brain power must have went into the creation of these dynamic components. http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/cldetails?clid=8fde3dec8eecb0146ae2ac309aeb01eb

@maso said: @bjornkn said: That's because when using zoomm in Su it isn't really zoom, but moving the camera, which changes the perspective. Change the FOV to "scale" it, and the zoom to change perspective/position. Hello guys not exactly on the topic, but i couldnt find any tool that would work this problem out. Is it possible to zoom the window somehow (actual cutout of a view)? Not sure what you mean by that maso...?
