Is there a plugin that creates a construction point in the end of each line (line that is not connected to anything) in the model?
I am trying to create a 3D mesh (terrain). I have created lines (with Three Line Tools Plugin) that indicates the height of the terrain in each location. Now, I would like to create a construction point in the end of each line and then use Points to Mesh Plugin to create a terrain.

Is it possible to use your Color by Z- plugin for creating a heightmap from model? I would need to create heightmap from Sketchup model and take it into Unity 3D for creating a terrain (just like Heightmap plugin was supposed to do).

I finally got it working. I just downloaded the script from (http://registry.gimp.org/node/15118)and replaced the script that I had downloaded from (http://newslily.com/blogs/96), and now it is working just fine.

This is what I have done so far:
1.I uninstaled my Gimp 2.0
2.I downloaded Gimp (gimp-2.6.8-i686) and installed it on my computer
3.I downloaded (resynthesizer-for-Windows-0.13b) and copied (resynthesizer.exe) from extracted files (Program Files\GIMP-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins) to Gimp plugins folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\GIMP-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins)
4.I saved the script from the webpage (http://newslily.com/blogs/96)to(C:\Program Files (x86)\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts)
5.Now I find Heal selection option in filters but when I run it I get error message:
Does anybody else get this error message?

I get the plugin working but the results are nothing like it should be. The removed part is filled with sky in my case. I believe that there was some kind fix for this problem but I can't get it working (I can find any Heal selection- alternative in my filters). When they talk about Fix, they tell to:
"Download the second file and copy it to C:\program files\gimp-2.0\share\gimp.0\scripts"
But, I don't have this folder structure. Has anybody else had similar problems?

I got decent results by doing the whole dome and then erasing the half of it. And, with this Extrude Edges by Rail plugin it worked just perfect.
Could somebody help me with this. I have been trying to model the shape that can be modeled with Follow Me Tool, but it is not giving exactly what I want. How would you model the same shape (rounded end)? Is there some plugin that would help me?

I have been following different animation solutions (plugins and extensions) for Sketchup and I think that Sketchers Studio is the most advanced one. Anyway, they seem to have it only for Mac.

Thanks for a great tutorial. Ruby is something that I would really like to learn. I would assume that it will require so much time that I will never start learning it. Anyway, this kind of tutorial really makes me think that maybe I should still think about it.
Is there some trick to get this work? I see Mover Dialog-option in Plugins menu, but nothing happens when I try to activate it.
Is there any free or cheap way to get Sketchup model into Solidworks? I have tried SU2STL plugin, but my colleague told that he is not able to edit the geometry in Solidworks.

I don't know too much about making 3D games but maybe this software (3D RAD) could help you with this matter. I haven't had time to try it yet but it seems interesting. It is free and you should be able to import Sketchup models into 3D RAD.

By the way, is there any simple way or script that could be used with proper animation Plugin when trying to get vehicles to drive/turn smoothly along curves? Or, is the only way to make it step by step (move the vehicle and then rotate it with rotate tool, move the vehicle and then rotate...)?

It doesn't have all the functions that ImageSynth has, but it gives decent results for being free.
I have been trying to find a cheap/easy way to create seamless textures from photographs. Has anybody tried Pattern Studio, which seems quite affordable. Also, if you have any experience with similar softwares please let me know.
