Hi Kev, hi folks.

I see this possibility:

1 - Create the required page layout.

2 - At the end, Insert a Page Break.

3 - Use the command to Show All which shows special characters like Tabs, Paragraph Breaks, Page Breaks, etc.

4 - Select all of the page including the Page Break.

5 - Copy the selection.

6 - Paste as many times as you want to create as many pages as you want.

7 - Reset the visibility of special characters.

Just ideas.

There is always the tried and tested Photoshop method, extract an above view of only the road, take into PS and paint your road complete with lines and all then save as a texture and apply to road.

Hey Kev, cool render, I missed this post, I guess the title made me think it had something to do with the SCF website and me not interested in anything HTML I must have breezed over it.
I too entered the competition, and sadly never even ranked up there 💚

I really enjoyed Irender too and sadly my trial came to an end, who knows if my ship ever comes in some day I may get it again.

Great image. That's a style I'd like to try. Sounds like it is not too time consuming.

If you can fix something, I'd say the muntins on the left hand door might be modeled more, as they are close to the camera. I have done tapered muntins in doors and I know the line work becomes too dense--if you are using lines. So I've smoothed the outer lines and it works out pretty well. Is that an undercounter clothes washer / dryer?

Is there enough room to add a short wing wall by the refrigerator? Anything that hides the side or the view to the back side is nice, I think. Some builders recess the rear of the unit into the wall, which also sets the front better in relation to the counter, in the deeper models. It looks like the door is too close for a wall.

What is the element straight ahead? it looks like a range hood but I see the range is on the right.

Max was the second 3d program I learned after formZ. I must say that once you figure out where the tools are hidden, I'm guessing you will fly. A lot of the same principles apply as sketchup you just have more tools at your disposal and the software can handle high poly. I would go ahead and apply to the places you want to work even without the 3dmax qualification. Then go in and flat out tell them that just about anyone can learn the software but you have more passion and a better eye.

Yes Alan, you can but there are major disadvantages.
Texture as well as layers are inherited by unpainted entities resp. layer0-entities (default settings) in a group (or component) when exploding that group (or C).
As for texture, you might get a lot of unwanted changes that you need to fix later. [all faces (both sides) AND edges one level down are now painted!!!]
As for geometry, it is against Googles advise to have primary entities in another layer than layer0. But that is exactly what happens when you explode and regroup. (ungrouped entities in different layer(s) other than layer0)

for groups: right click > select “Make Component” > right click > select “Scale Definition”
for components: right click > select “Make Unique” > right click > select “Scale Definition”

Now only the texture scale has changed back to normal in both cases.]

Ah, well I think I may have reversed the faces, applied the material to that side too then reversed them back again. That could very possibly be the explanation, Biebel.

I have the same problem all the time...

Mostly because of file sizes... so purging, deleting, etc... all helps!
