Hi guys. I have another question regarding radial bend. As you can see from the image all of the lines denoting brickwork haven't bended as I was expecting. I'm not sure why. Is it a parameter problem or maybe something to do with the model? Its probably something really easy I'm missing

Hey guys. I've recently discovered radial bend and its just brilliant. Its really helping me with some illustrations I'm doing. I was wondering if there's a way for the materials to bend as well as the model. So far the materials either stay the same or go a bit skew-whiff, they don't bend in the same directions as the face they're on. Any way of doing this?

For Mac
Download GraphicConverter: http://www.lemkesoft.de/en/products/graphicconverter/download/
Select: Download now (from Switch.ch)Once you open the Free version of GraphicConverter, File/Open and find the folder, where you have placed all your Sketchup files. Under EDIT / Select All
Now at the bottom click on (Create Preview) This will change all the Sketchup logo(s) into it's graphic thumbnail.
Note: It will not launch the graphic icon, unless you are in Sketchup.
Open Sketchup and (Open File). You should see the Thumbnails, and these icons will launch.
Steve, I could kiss you! I've been wanting to be able to see thumbnails of my SU files since I got my mac 4 years ago. Thank you so much for this tip!

RE: Tunstall Court
Wow, what an amazing model!! Just fantastic.
Makes me mad how these lovely old buildings are left to decay and then knocked down for an estate of bland houses as is usually the case. At least your model is an everlasting record of how it used to look

RE: Castle Gate Scene
I love the final photoshop image. Very atmospheric and does indeed look like a painting.

RE: (TRICK) To re-enable skp file preview
Hmm.. I shouldn't have got so happy so soon. Whilst using Thom's desktop shortcut does enable me to view SU thumbnails, I'm finding Explorer constantly crashes. I was trying to sort out all my components into new folders but had to give up because it would crash every time I tried to do anything. Is there a fix for this?

RE: (TRICK) To re-enable skp file preview
Thanks for bumping this guys. I saw Thom's suggestion of creating a shortcut to explorer on the desktop and it works a treat. Finally I have preview thumbnails of all my SU models and components. Hurrah!

RE: Street Project in London
Absolutely amazing! If it wasn't for the clay models I would swear it they were photos. Amazing work!
What was the reason for modelling this street? Is it an existing street or is it all made up?

RE: Google....give us back our back button[SOLVED]
I've tried everything to get my thumbnails to show the component but nothing has worked. See this thread, http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=16015
As Thomthom said, I think its just a problem with Vista (one of many!)

i found a good and very simple interim solution
im using the windows explorer. i choose thumbnails and just drag&drop the components into the sketchup window.
works for me just fine
a.t.I'd love to be able to do that but I can't see a preview image in my thumbnails which is really annoying

RE: Question about Microsoft Word
Word is the only software I have access to where I'm working

RE: Question about Microsoft Word
I've exported it as a PDF and the jpeg doesn't appear greyed out so looks as though I can use that method after all.
Thanks for your help guys. Much appreciated as always

RE: Question about Microsoft Word
I stand corrected, it seems as if its only the jpegs which are greyed out, everything else is fine
Basically I'm putting together a document which is an entry into the Building For Life awards and so each page has the same basic layout. Grey background, logo at the top, a couple of text boxes etc. Copy pasting doesn't seem to work well so Id like to be able to insert a new page which has the layout already on it.
Modelhead's suggestion does work altho it would be more convienient if the layout wasn't movable, such as when its in a header, so that I don't accidentally move something I shouldn't.
I know there are more suitable programmes to use but Word is the only one avalable to me at the moment.

RE: Question about Microsoft Word
Hey modelhead,
That works pretty well. Thanks for your help, that will really save me some time.
I did think about using the header & footer but anything I place in them appear greyed out. Is that something which can be changed I wonder?

Question about Microsoft Word
Hallo all. I'm really hoping someone is going to know the answer to this as I'm desperate. I'm creating a Word document where each page has the same layout, colours, text boxes and jpegs. I've created a template which works if I'm just doing a single page but I want to be able to insert a new page which has all the same elements and layout as the template but as far as I can see you can only insert a blank page. I've tried copy pasting but this is very time consuming as each pasted page doesn't paste into exactly the same position on each page so I have to reposition everything. Its a real pain and I'm up against a very tight deadline.
Thanks!

RE: Victorian fireplace
Here's the fireplace rendered with Podium to show the difference between the 2 renderers.
