Storing plugin settings right in document allows user preferences persistence across different machines and even across operating systems in theory (when I say "user" I mean plugin user). So user can take his *.skp file anywhere and continue working with it on any device that has SU and plugin and he does not have to care about configuring plugin again on each device.

TIG, what in save-copy-as-2.0-jf.rb should be changed in order to save the file in older version (2015) withoutaltering its name? Ideally, pop-up window with ' the File file with the same name exists, do you want to replace it?' should be suppressed as well. In short, regular Save command (but to v2015). Thanks

I agree with Brodie, speed reading with reasonable comprehension works (in my case), but leaves the color of contemplation, grayed. Even with technological information, it matters to contemplate. So if you must, you speed read. If you have the time, don't:-)

Jim has withdrawn his plugins and extensions. If you want to be able to draw helices, you could use Curve Maker's Helix tool. Look in the PluginStore at the top right of the forum page.

The forums point to a .php file I think. If they pointed directly to the file, you would also be able to drag the link into SketchUp and have SU open the file directly in your current model. It would be a loverly feature, but phpforum does not do their attachment downloads good enough.

Wiped the Registry for SU8 and restarted, and now the menu's back, but not sure why it went away in the first place.

My guess is it has something to do with what SU calls an "arbitrary axis rule" (pulled slightly out of context from the API). Followme works nicely on a sphere. Try drawing a helical path over a sphere, then follow me along it. The face will align itself nicely onto the sphere.

I am working with http://min.us guys to implement Sketchup .skp support for their drag and drop dropmocks clone. Dropmocks was a open source proof of concept by Google Chrome UI lead Glen Murphy and I dont think that it will evolve more.

I reported it to Google ages ago when v8 was in diapers. I haven't heard that they've fixed it...
