Hi!
I caught a bug. Here it is:
I extruded several connected faces with JPP and choose the option which removes source faces, leaving only extrusion. I confirmed the extrusion and then did UNDO. Unfortunately undoing can't be done in one go. Instead, it's "broken" into small steps and it brings back my source geometry edge by edge so I have to press UNDO many times.
It happens with every sub-tool of JPP.
I'm using SU17 with newest JPP and newest LibFredo.
Hi!
I know it's been some time since the release but I have problem with mesh generation.
Any formula that I type, for example "x^2", results with a step function mesh, as if values were approximated to integers, not real numbers. Only example formulas work fine.
This is not how a parabola should look like, huh?
Hi!
My friend has a problem with this plugin. Installed properly, using SketchUp 17 on Win10. She can choose a file to import but when she clicks Import in the plugin window, nothing happens. We tried to export an AutoCAD file into a few kinds of DXF but none of them worked. What could it be?
Hi!
Don't know why but I don't have these handles for non-uniform scaling. This is the screenshot of tutorial. I marked them with two white rectangles. I have just lines in this place.
Edit: SketchUp spalts again. I'm crying, dying, trying to paint anything...

Why don't you select each face for individual offset?
Fredo
Because in another model I have tones of surfaces to offset and selecting them one by one would be haaard.
Hi!
As you can see in the screenshot, I selected two neighbouring surfaces. Offset on Surface creates one big offset for them both, together. I was thinking, if it's possible that offsets would be created separately, independently for each surface?
In SU17 it exports entire model instead of just active entities
Hi!
I know, it's a dusted thread but maybe someone will make me know.
Is it possible that Offset on Surface would treat separately several neighbouring surfaces selected at one time? I mean, instead of creating one big offset from selection border, it would make several offsets, each out of one surface separately.
Hi!
I have problem matching deformation box to my group's bounding box. Normally it goes by clicking an edge of a target group but my group is rotated and mesh is more complicated (not just cuboid) so clicking one edge doesn't do proper matching. Is there an option like "match deformation box to gruop's bounding box"? so that deformation box would be matched just as with normal scale tool.
Hi!
Thanks a lot for this plugin!
Have you been thinking of making it work through groups? Like we select a group or a couple of them and it automatically creates faces inside the groups, where needed. This would be a mesh repair giant!
Hi!
I have a problem with this plugin. I'm trying to match an FFD "box" to my group, which local axes are different from global axes of the model. I mean, they are rotated. I created an FFD group and it doesn't match my target group's axes. How can I match FFD group to local axes or my group? Instead, it matches the global axes. I could just reset rotation of my group, I know. But I don't want to do this.
Even if I change my model's global axes, FFD box orientation won't change. It will stick to initial orientation.
Thank you.
I was confused because the tool called "Split faces into multiple pieces" stood in the list as "Divide faces" and I firstly didn't come up it's the same thing.
Hi!
I use these tools a lot but unfortunately I cannot set a key shortcut for any of them because thery're not listed in SketchUp's tools list in Preferences > Shortcuts. Please, if you could, make some upgrade that would include them into the list.
Also remembering last distance in the first tool: "Split faces into multiple pieces" would be a great feature. With these two things Edge Tools would be not only cool and handy, but also very fast to use.

Hello Fredo, I'd love to know if you can extract the lines in between when you use loft by spline. I'm using two lines and the tool, I'd love to get the line.
Those are the lines I want to get in order to create this kind of design.
Thank you so much!
Hi,
I think what yo want to achieve is something like Loop Selection in 3DSmax. You can use ThomThom's Quad Face Tools, convert your mesh to quads, then select quad loops.
There is also a small plugin by Blindcop "Extrapolate selected edge"
https://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=61884
which will let you select continuation of an edge in a mesh. However, it doesn't manage triangulated faces well (or at all?).
Hi,
Very nice tool I'm thinking if it's possible to add a feature of extrapolation several selected edges in one go.
It's no problem that I spend extra time matching vertices but as you can see in the screenshot, in this case it's not even possible cuz I can only match vertices left-right while additional lines appear top-down. If I Swap Rails and Profiles, it's opposite. What if we could match both rails and profiles at the same time or force automatical matching vertex-to-vertex? In some cases Simplify parameter will work but not always, even if I set it to 80%. Maybe it would make sense to give us 100% as a maximum value? I don't know if it's mathematically possible.
In the second screenshot with red arrows I showed how the connection is done and in the third one with green arrow - how I'd imagine it.
I reinstalled Curviloft and still have this no-settings bug. What's more, it also affects Round Corner plugin so when I try to roundcorner some edges, it also omits settings
I also don't understand one thing. In the attached model I have four contours touching each other, each consists with 8 segments. So I perform Skin Contours and don't know why it adds some extra geometry. As if some of contours' segments were divided. But they're not. I'd expect 7 curves created along and 7 across the surface.
In this case it's not even possible to match vertices in order to eliminate additional divisions.
Hi!
I want to post a quick movie and my model to illustrate a bug that I described some time ago but maybe didn't explain clearly.
I had problems with curvilofting some more complicated contour sets, using Skin Contours. I was advised to draw manually "separation lines" at contour borders and that helped. But sometimes I forget or don't know that a certain set needs such separation, then I perform Skin Contours onto a problematic contour set and then Curviloft gets stucked. It endlessly shows yellow progress bar on top of viewport and doesn't let me back to settings (grey toolbar). Since this moment I cannot recover this toolbar with loft settings, until I restart SketchUp (which is very asspainful having almost 200 plugins installed).
The model shows a few complicated sets of 4 curved contours. The video shows the issue which comes even with simple contours after a difficult skinning is performed. It happens even if I start a new model in SketchUp.
Please tell me somebody if you also have this problem or is it just my computer...
