Love these David, I guess my only crit would be to remove some of the xray lines from the larger white faces of the walls. Nice details too.

Nice work David. I think I understand what you are trying to achieve with this render .... 'unposed composition'? It works for me. I see so many 'dramatic compositions' and while they are normally excellent technically, they don't give that 'lived in' look for me. The wheely bin is a nice touch. I had to laugh when I saw it as there was a wheely bin outside my house in Ennis when the Google StreetView guys drove by BTW, attached is a slate texture that I use. I must try to mod this image to create a 'slate and a half' every second course .... the proper way to do things Mike [image: lRXa_blue-grey-slate_287.jpg]

The background and foreground planting are primarily photographs in .png format taken thru fotosketcher seperatly and consequently have the same all-over texture as the main image. As I work,I normally overlay colour(which are just blobs of colour with a strong gaussian blur filter applied and transparency reduced) over the entire image which helps to integrate the final image. One trick I often do is to take the final finished image in jpeg format thru fotosketcher a second time and overlay this fotosketcher image with the finished photoshop image (normal blend or softlight blend, with a transparency of as little as 15 %).Its all about overlaying layers and playing with the transparency.

A different project this time,I will be re rendering as the original render had quite a low light cache setting which became more noticable when I increased contrast(more so around window reveals which show some burn out as does the seating at foreground) [image: un3p_night.jpg]

Great work David. I am very impressed. @davidh said: ...have the same foreground,in this case a .png created and just dragged and dropped. Would you be willing to share the png?

David, Nice images - I prefer the first as well. I don't think the jet contrails work in the second - feel too contrived and the one on left looks more like a ufo.(not that i have ever seen one ) If you took the background hint from the first image and made it warmer (pink) toward the horizon and darker (blue) at the top - I think it would work fine. hey oli, seen some of your stuff on twilight site, they look brilliant last images are test images(rendered in 15 mins,'shopped in 2) ie setting the scene, using previous photoshop additions from my collection. when i have this job worked out i will upload a hi res image . most of my images on this site are for fun, trying out new visopt configurations, looking for ways to enhance/create new moods.i have previously done night, rainy day and snow images(see below) and am at the moment trying to finalise visopts for these along with background skies.i am currently working on an autumn scene but with right lighting and trees ,it is hard to get the mood i i want. re this image the walls are just white colour at the moment, again trying to get a texture i am happy with. Once I get the lighting right I intend to upload a typical building with an overcast/summer/winter/night visopt along with a step by step photoshop tutorial of how I do it,if anyone is interested.
