Its pretty much about finding an image with the correct lighting for the snow. After that its a combination of cloning and distorting, copying parts around the image and blending them together. But if you dont have the correct lighting it will become very obvious very quickly. What you need to do is find images that have the same colour sky as the sky in the render. This way,not only will you have the correct lighting, but also the correct radiosity colour on your inserted elements.

Like this a lot. You could go for it a little more and loosen up if you really want to achieve the watercolour look. Reminds me of Thomas Schaller's work. good stuff

2 more images, the second is a part post processed maxwell image, based on the villa model previously uploaded by Hieru. Rich ,currently I have a demo version of Thea.I had access to the full version a few months ago but the company I was doing work for at the time are no longer in business. From what I see of thea it looks great but as I have already purchased vray, twilight and maxwell I am not in a position to purchase thea (as of yet).Currently I'm just playing around with different presentation styles/lighting moods. The method for the polaroid images is quite simple, overlay an orange/brown colour, add motion blur, add gaussian blur, add foreground elements and a vignete and thats it. The new one is awesome. Great work. Especially on the roof. My critique would be the crop on the image is a little tight. Open up the view of the patio a little to add more of a "welcome to my backyard" feel.

attached are screensnaps of the actual resolution of the image,to say it broke my heart would be an understatment. [image: zwhm_ScreenHunter_001.jpg] [image: iMoa_ScreenHunter_002.jpg] [image: foVg_ScreenHunter_003.jpg] [image: jn4J_ScreenHunter_005.jpg]
