Have you toned down the first one? Now that I see them with the originals the technique does breath more life into the images. Just thought the reception area(?) looked too pink one the first post.
Here's a streetscape I rendered a while back in Thea.The original Thea render is much darker than the final watercolour so I had to increase brightness and saturation before starting the main process.

A night shot using the technique in the post processing tutorial section of the forum for turning day to night.
The treeline to the left is the same as that behind the house,just mirrored and cloned to break up the main repeating patterns and the highlights burned in using the "Dodge" tool in photoshop.

A longer,far away,image based on 2 different post pro renders(previously uploaded to the Thea forum)-it almost works except for the large ivy tree which is to strong as a foreground image

The colors are just great david!
I think the PS intervention gave the additional touch of life missing in the orginal render.
