Thank you very much Csaba. That really means alot to me. I guess the sketchy styles can get to be a little too much but I like the hand drawn look better than the plain old SketchUp style.

Guys, when there are classes like that, please, let me know way ahead. As now we have "The Daily CatchUp", we can feature these classes like we do to others. It may not fill your classroom but eventually can add a couple of people.

Thanks Bruce. Now we need someone to figure out how to do that automatically with a plugin.

I wouldn't mind at all but it turned out I didn't need to make it because Jim already did. You can find it at the link to his blog. I was interested in the Crayola crayon colors which he did a few weeks ago. It just goes to show there's nothing new under the sun.

Andrew, no, not handwritten fonts. The numbers could be Arial or some other san-serif font. I'm looking for a font like this to be able to insert them into a document that has to reference various parts of some SketchUp drawings.

Thanks Tim. Voodoopad looks like a Mac only thing and Evernote looks like it needs an iPhone or equivalent. I really want something that doesn't take screen real estate and doesn't require leaving the application I'm working in at the moment. So far the "Magic Slate" seems to be the only thing that will work for me. At least they're cheap. TTFN Dave

@sawduster said: That is pretty cool. I'm not sure what "Layout" does. From this I gather it can be used to add other graphics and such to a page which includes an export from SU. I'd never even thought about exporting a SU drawing into a PDF, but just gave it a shot with a model using one of those free PDF creators and it worked great. Jerry, Layout does an awful lot more than just make a PDF file from SketchUp. You should check it out.

Bruce, the Freehand tool is your friend. No need to quit. I found after a bit of searching, the image, below. I used WinTopo to make a DXF file which I then imported into SU. Pilou, you're getting more and more abstract. I like it. We could call it Mona in Ice. [image: lvsU_monalisa_cp.jpg]

Here are a couple of others. The first wasn't so quick but it is anatomically correct. Every part was drawn in. Probably the largest model file size I ever done. [image: f32feb22.jpg] And this little cabinet was done for Fine Woodworking. It was drawn so they could make plans in PDF format to distribute along with a video series running on the website. I made a bunch of scenes for them and they exported the images to make the plans. [image: c3ef7f2a.jpg] Thanks for looking.
