These bring back memories of art school, (over 30 years ago!) We had what we called 'donkies' in the art studios - to work at or just to use as benches. I serched for 'artist donkey' yesterday - but none were as robust as those old college ones. Very comfortable to work at & there was a trough at the front for pens, etc. Here's my best recollection of them. [image: OdH9_ArtistsDonkey.jpg]

I am interested, and I see Corel Painter as a natural compliment to Sketchup for illustrative works -- but IMO the capabilities of Sketchy Edges needs some work to be usable at print resolutions (which is where I would want to use them). I made some comments to similar effect here: https://plus.google.com/113398955876222975947/posts/5rC7pizKxvs Best, Jason.

Good thing this "boy" has got a "SawStop". He's gonna need it........ This IS the best forum I've ever been on.....! Quick responses, good answers, helpful, and good positive criticism. We all should have tougher skin at times,,, especially being a "beginner" at some things....

i saw that this has already been done by the major drum companies, some time in the 80's. the drums were of fiber glass and had one normal, tunable, drum had and a large curved bell similar to yours. cool concept anyhow. by the way, great model! i cant wait to see it rendered! 296

Thank you. I wish I could take credit for either design. I'm actually trying to come up with a nearly post-processless process for creating images from SketchUp utilizing more than one style at a time. Whether it's different line styles or different face styles I'd like to have a process that is idiot proof so I can do it.

It's from before our time, sir. I'm hoping one of the old Brits will recognize it but maybe they won't, either.

But then, your "model", as you infer, might appreciate the opportunity to assist in this project.

Thanks, Walt. For this image I used Preset 06. It probably ran a total of 2 hours to complete. It would probably take less time if I used fewer lights. I have 5 spotlights and a point light. I'll have to look at the wood floor again. I decided to go with concrete because I figured there's enough wood.

I have to agree, these are excellent. The first is very thought provoking on several levels: historic/recent events, novel concept, and visual effects with very convincing fundamental techniques. And the symbolic heroic stance hinting at a renaissance.
