A fellow on a woodworking forum was trying to come up with a design for nightstands to go with a bed designed by Gary Rogowski. I thought it would be a fun little project and fairly simple since I had made a model of the bed. Here's the bed with the nightstands I came up with.

And here is a closer view of one of the tables.

This was done the other evening in about 15 minutes before I had to leave to go to my SketchUp class.

Great design, Dave! from the title, I guess you rescaled bed elements as a start, which makes good sense. It's a fresh contemporary take on craftsman style, (Coincidentally much in the vein of the place I went to dinner at just last night, attached photo)

Thank you Peter. Yes, I pulled out components from the bed and scaled or otherwise modified them to make the elements in the table. It made quick work of drawing the table and was very easy to do.

Dave, I assume you teach the class. Would you care to share a course syllabus?

As usual always a pleasure, and an insightful post Dave.
