Amazing work, Danik. And looking forward to your next video.

RE: Npr fly around videos
I feel your pain - I've been there before, trying to fill a model with enough entourage without overtaxing the system.
Have you looked on 3D Warehouse? Some guy in our office recently did a model with 2D trees he pulled from that site. And have you tried at any styles that include an NPR tree backdrop? -
RE: Lumion or LumenRT?
I have LumenRT, and I haven't tried Lumion - they appear to be very similar, though. However, IF price weren't an option, I might seriously consider Lumion Pro. Looking at its list of features, it appears to have a lot more content.

RE: Npr fly around videos
They look great, pmolson. The only thing that stuck out to me was in the second video there appeared to be some 2d realistic trees mixed in with the NPR trees. And then all the trees suddenly disappear partway through the video.

RE: Conservatory
You're messing with us, right? Those are really photos of an actual building, aren't they?

Good one.

RE: Tiny Forests ... a brilliant idea
That looks like a great idea. Such a plot in East Tennessee would probably need constant nurturing, though, due to invasive non-native plants. I was in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park this weekend, and drove by a large patch on English Ivy!

RE: The Art of SketchUp - part 2: Sci-Fi
Great work as always, Ken.
Question: why do they remodel your concept models? Why don't they use your SU models? Sounds like they are just re-inventing the wheel. -
RE: Cabinet with drawers
Very nice, Cotty. If there is one area I see for improvement it would be to reposition the texture on the front of each drawer so they aren't identical.

RE: Lumion 5 sneak peak
Fantastic looking program; thanks for posting, Solo. It even has a character doing push-ups! Oh well, maybe one day, when I win the lottery...
So many apps, so little money. -
RE: Summer Residence
Stupendously superb rendering. Is it of an actual building, or your own creation?

Thanks Steve and Richard, appreciated.
With a little sadness I've decided to make this my last gallery post, after six great years on the forum it's time to give you long suffering folks a rest
.Take care

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh, the humanity! -
RE: Formfonts
They are still in business. I downloaded a bunch of components from there earlier today.

RE: Sizing & Warehouse- Why does everyone make things huge?
Also, there are some users who are completely lost as to scale and 3D computer space.

RE: What's your beginners tip?
@cl said:
My tip would be to make sure you know what scale you are working in. If you start with something downloaded from the warehouse that is a random size, everything else can go pearshaped. You start adjusting things by eye to look right and then find there is nothing you can actually put a tapemeasure on, no known dimensions.
I would suggest always working at full scale. If you download something from the warehouse that is not sized properly (been there!), resize it the best you can to make it so (done that!).

RE: Rendering Software
Make sure you are comparing apples to apples when looking at these programs. Some of these programs are strictly rendering programs. Lumion and LumenRT both also come with components (such as plants, vehicles, characters, etc., some of which are pre-animated) to add in SU. You might also want to look at Podium.
