Great! As you can see from the resultant images making a compliant staircase with tapered treads etc is far from easy... As you say, you can now take the plan image, import it as an Image and Scale it [TapeMeasure tool] to the correct size; then use it as a basis for making the stairs...[image: p1SS_Capture.PNG]

On my PC, if I last had version 7.1 open and try to open a V8 file, I get that message. If I last had V8 open, I don't get it. It's worked this way since I installed version 4 alongside version 3.

Hi Csaba, I must confess that not all of the individual models are my own, Most of them I have downloaded from the Google Warehouse. The idea with the scenes came to me later. Hi, Just tested it with SU 7.1, it works OK. Not tested with SU8, since I'm waiting the french version of it... BUT if your image size is 602, the resulting mesh will be made of 6026022 triangles= 724808 faces ! Watch the status bar to check what it is doing, the redraw process can be (very) long... Regards
