Habe selber die Render Suite und keine Abstürze mit Sketchup gehabt. Allerdings nur bis zur Version 8, danach hatte ich mir wieder einen Rechner zum Rendern angeschafft - Windows - um mehrere Arbeitsprogramme, unabhängig meiner täglichen Arbeit, laufen zu lassen.
Sketchup 8 läuft hier einwandfrei. Welches Betriebssystem hast du drauf?
Leider kann ich nichts über die Plugins sagen. Auf die Render Suite würde ich aber nicht verzichten wollen. Fire ist ja nett, die Einstellmöglihkeiten - auch die Multilightfunktion - sind im Render Manager besser. Falls du speziellere Fragen hast, kannst du dich ja melden.
Wie du Fehler, die durch Plugins verursacht werden herausfilterst, weißt du sicher.

@Rich....I tried what you suggested but reached the limit by setting the hight with vertex tools. The Fall off does not work in a curve, so the wooden back is -like your example- just in the middle ( does not follow the curve ) . I need a constant tapering in the rounding to its ends. Hope I got the right words for it.

Das Plugin selber ist übersetzt. Der letzte Button der Toolbar/Werkzeugleiste ist Preferences/Einstellungen. In dem Dialogfenster kannst du die Sprache wählen.

I was asked how to delete a bunch of hidden components.
The workarounds I can imagine are to select the Model and copy it into a new Sketchup instance without the hidden Geometrie or to make a Group of the Object and unhide the rest to select and delete.

But if the model is around 100MB and I talk about 50000 Components, it took a lot of time.

Any Idea for a more elegant solution, maybe with a plugin?

This goal has been made from 26 m. You can't really compare to others.
It was sensational. He has time to stop the ball turn around for a shot, like others would do. But there just a few who could choose this option. Instinct and self-confident,for sure.

1001bit wurde bereits in einer früheren Fassung inkl. Webbrowser Dialoge übersetzt.
Die neuere Version bzw. die Pro Version habe ich nocht nicht angefangen, da es doch sehr komplex ist und einiges mit Photoshop verändert werden muss.
Ich hatte seit länerem keinen Kontakt zu Goh
Es scheint im allgemeinen auch nicht ganz so viel Interesse zu bestehen, so dass ich nicht sagen kann, wann ich dabei gehe.

Something I noticed. When setting the menubar invisible, the Dialog settings pop up.
When closing, the menubar is visible again. No chance to hide the menubar like the statusbar?
