if you find it difficult to align the plane, make a plane by attaching the center points, top and bottom of both pipes, then draw a line from the mid points between the "top" to the same on the "bottom" then push pull the planes either way to get the intersection plane. (Top and Bottom maybe left and right depending on the orientation)

@baz88 said: however, whenever it gets that small the model messes up and i can't zoom in close enough. Make sure that the component/group origin stays in the near of the world origin while scaling with the scale tool. @baz88 said: I've tried scaling the 1:1 model by inputting 0.001 and it gets way to small to do anything. 1:300 results in a scale factor of 0,00333333333333333333333333333333... so it will be hard to enter it exactly

The model in the sketchup warehouse is actually the one i did use, however, it's not detailed enough to print off because it's essentially made up of lines and surfaces, which aren't suitable 3D printing because they are not solids so I'm modifying it for accuracy. If i can send you the file, it would be great if you could show me how to do it. Thanks heaps.

Hopefully someone moves this to the VRay forum, but for now, I can answer. Do you have region render enabled? Sometimes if this is still active, and you have made changes to your view and resolution, you can click render and nothing will happen. Have you tried resetting the defaults in your Options? What version of VR are you using?

@cotty said: In your picture, the blue axis is to the left, but it should be to the top (sky=blue ), so you should rotate your house accordingly... Or go to Tools/Axes and change it so the blue will be on the UP DOWN direction .
