This might be a very stupid question, but I'm building a model for which i will use to 3d print and i have drawn the model at 1:1 and need to scale it down to 1:300, however, when i try to use the scale tool it never quite does the job.

I am using one part of the model as a reference which is 300mm at 1:1 and will need to scale down to 1mm @ 1:300 in order to print correctly, however, whenever it gets that small the model messes up and i can't zoom in close enough.

I've tried scaling the 1:1 model by inputting 0.001 and it gets way to small to do anything.

      Any help would be appreciated.
      Thanks

You might find it easier to use the Tape Measure tool to resize it. Measure a known distance on the model making sure to click on both endpoints. then type the desired length and hit Enter.

Sorry. Next time I'll try to make it harder. πŸ˜„

Make sure that the component/group origin stays in the near of the world origin while scaling with the scale tool.

1:300 results in a scale factor of 0,00333333333333333333333333333333... so it will be hard to enter it exactly πŸ˜‰
