I guess the angle admonishment comes from storing less filtered or wine stored for a few years? You don't want all the sediment sitting on the cork. Probably the majority of people are not that careful or keep their wine long enough Most wine comes in boxes, stored upside down until you get it. (edit I mean wine comes in BOTTLES in boxes. There is a sort of wine that just comes int a box though! )

@jacbk612 said: I plan to build up this pump completely with an impeller and everything and then run the Khamsin CFD plugin to see if I can get a nice real time simulation. Gilles, is this something you are familiar with? Does this sound feasible? Jacques Hello Jacques, Could you get it done? I am planning to design a pump and use Khamsin CFD, but I am just begining to work with Sketchup.

Well thanks Dave R for the time you spent helping me with this. Of course I had to change the model you worked on and ended up with more holes. Which Solid Inspectorshowed me but I was not able to manually make the repairs. So I purchased the SuSolid Plugin. Wow what a tool that is, it works so well. I keep trying to understand SketchUp and work these problems out but so far, for my two biggest ones using a Plugin was my answer. Well thanks again Dave and I am definitely using the things you showed me. Ralph

You could also take a look at the plugin Artisan. It has a poly reduction tool (and lots more).

Yes, please post your model, or at least some adequate screenshots. Have you checked if Edges are activated in your View menu?

Hi Lea, hi folks. If you search the 3D Warehouse (3DWH) with the words art gallery, you will find a lot of results. The vast majority of them are buildings seen from the outside. However, I found one by Tan-Jeong here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=d60467b3084eef4fe77aafc342bcd367 It shows the inside floor and walls as if the ceiling has been removed. This can act as a start for you. Of course, you can draw your own one from scratch. Then, you can search the 3DWH with words such as 3D people, for example. You will find a lot. Incorporate these in the galerie. Finally, you can import jpgfiles of you pictures and use them as textures to paint rectangles. These will become the paintings for the galerie. Observe the above mentionned model to see how its author added frames and ligthing fixtures and a few other details. You can even search for sculpturesand after scaling them, if needed, add them inside your gallery. Just ideas.

In any case what you are doing is moving the geometry, edges, and vertices and how you do it depends on the nature of the geometry you have. For general terrain Artisan sculpt tool is good. TT's Vertex Tools are good for shaping many types of connected geometry and that might be better for roads and other hardscape.

In v-ray materials under diffuse just click on "Use color texture as transparency" and click preview of material. It should be transparent now if u are using png.

In SU Preferences / enable "use maximum size texture" inside section OpenGL. Image will be the same quality than the original!

Thanks Kristoff, I inserted them and got most of the colors, it just left out most of the 3000 series colors. But it worked well enough for the task at hand. Matte
