I got the same problem and just solved. Seems have to turn the color mode in Sketchup to align with the graphic card of the device. Solution: Go to System Preferences > Open GL> Capabilities Then change (try) the color mode. After changing to the correct one, the viewing color on sketchup screen will align with the color of the device system and hence the exported image. UN

I "accidently" solved it by clicking zoom all extents before your reply, but in the link you send i found this. Another situation that can cause clipping is when the Perspective camera mode is turned off. In that case, click the "Zoom Extents" button (it looks like a magnifying glass with four red arrows pointing outward). The camera zooms out to display the entire model, and the clipping is eliminated. So you are totally right! Thanks a lot

@remus said: Or trying to paint a model in monochrome mode... oh yeah; I think this should lead the list of "DUH"-moments because it indeed happens every now and then and every time I am glad that nobody was watching by the way: turned out quite nicely that model, David

Thats always been my solution too. I really like setting up 2 scenes pretty close to one another and put a long transition time on them. So over like 15 seconds the camera only moves a little bit. Then make of few of these slow panning/zooming/FOV Changing scenes. Take them into a movie editor and do a crossfade on them. Makes for some really nice, upscale feeling, video work. Chris

Yeah, thanks to all of you for your answers and ideas, and especially to the very clear tutorial from solo ! You can also find an easy way I got from other forum, very interesting for all of those who design furniture with SKU : http://www.systemed.fr/Forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=18&PN=1 GLB [image: RYDY_Ftcolonnecanneleavecrenflement.png]

Once its imported, you need to place it in the model by clicking somewhere. Try that and see if it helps. Chris

If you are applying a paint texture directly to a component or a group, every default face and line inside that comp/grp will be painted. However if you are painting individual surfaces or lines (either in edit component mode or while painting non comp/grps) then just what you click will be painted. Make sense?

Another thing to consider when using sketchy styles is that edges that make up curves can often be shorter than the shortest edge stroke. When that happens, the curves tend to disappear as in this example. [image: UUE7_Screenshot-11_13_20199_53_58PM.png] Welding those edges together gets around that problem as shown here: [image: VcPT_Screenshot-11_13_20199_55_01PM.png] The easiest way I've found to do the welding is with Eneroth Auto Weld which welds any edges that can be welded in the selection. TIG's TIG-Weld is also good.

If you editing same file that you share on warehouse than with shetch up just go on share model, model would be changed but all info would stay as rating and comments. But if you mada a new model most likely that you need to delete a old one.

Elysium, That seemed to help. Thanks. Oddly enough, it also seems to have reduced the file size quite a bit. Don't understand that really, but, as long as it works!
