@driedeedesign said: Flexdoor, Flexslat and Flexwindow are awsome and worth every dollar/euro. Been doubting weather to purchase something else like Doormaker or Cabmaker … but it's quite pricy. And I was tired of looking for the right doors and windows on 3D warehouse every time. Your Dynamic components are awsome, and make use of all the functionalty already available inside SketchUp… Now I encourage you to go for the “FlexStairs" and “FlexCabin” maybe even “FlexRoof" if you dare …. gr. Frank So very glad! Hearing things like this is what keeps me going! I've got many additional Flex components planned. The list is long. A few are already working, but not ready for release yet. FlexStairs is on the list. What would a FlexCabin be? Or is it a FlexCabinet!? (Cabinets/KitchenWare is a whole world in itself...) How do you imagine a FlexRoof? What kind of roof would it be? How would it look? How would it work?

Just found this post. Had same problem and had trouble finding a solution. Here is my documentation on it: IN SKETCHUP -- Use a script to Paint faces of model with materials based on their layer. If you need to work with materials in SketchUp, then do the following to materialize faces based on layer designation: Download -- layers_materials.rb -- (Script By: Didier Bur) to paint faces with layer color: Layers Materials: http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/rld/plugin_details.php?id=219 IMPORTANT! After loading script, you must first run “CREATE MATERIALS FROM LAYERS” Then, run “PAINT FACES FROM LAYERS” Full description here: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18%26amp;t=65107

Massimo , Was able to extract the .png file out the .skm file using SU material edit . Converted to RGB in Gimp. Have no bloody clue how to get the converted .png back into .skm ? Imported the converted image into a test model and it rendered fine. Thanks for your help.

hi all , i have the same problem with faces when i import the tree in obj file , so i use plugin "UV toolkit2" from tomtom .... 1 select the object /2 go to extention uvtoolkit select "front face material to back face" wait 2 minutes and the tree is OK - but u have to do materials yourself (bump and specular)(i use vray 2.0) but it's easy all the maps are included... enjoy
