    Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

    Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

    Is that the original .stl? It has issues. As you can see from your post above the size isn't the correct scale of what you want in mm. It can be adjusted but not knowing which are (if any) the critical dimensions, I can only guess. So I have fixed the holes, easier to do than explain how, and have made the width 50mm. Try this.     Cheers Dave, will try your sugestion this afternoon, and will report back. However when you mentioned which version I was using I realised I had seen the message before. The model was created in 2018 or 2019 Pro (At work) and that messge had cropped up there as well. I cant remember how it resolved

    You might try Select Loop which is part of Thom Thom's Quad Face Tools. I would run CleanUp3 first to make sure you get rid of any unneeded edges there might be. Thanks for starting to update your profile. I assume you mean you are using SketchUp 2019 Pro.

    Well, I find that my models increase in size for some reason. My solution, not elegant, but effective sometimes. Show everything you wish to keep, that is all the geometry you wish to keep. Select everything on the screen, copy, then save the file and open a new file. Now copy into this new file everything you copied, save under a new name, me I add a new version number. Now save this new file. After finishing saving, Do a "save as" to open the area you saved this file at, and check the file size. I find it is usually very much smaller. Not sophisticated, but works for me.

    Glad you found a solution of sorts. For future readers - my solution only applies to Microsoft products. I should have made that more clear.

    Have you got the original contours? If not use SUs native contours tool to make a set and then use Fredo's Toposhaper to make a new surface, this tool will also add sides to your terrain and usually makes a solid. JPP is the wrong tool for this Of course work in a file copy, and at the end del everything else.
