    BlenderGIS can get you pretty good images.. you do need an API key to get set up but it's all free and you can even generate 3d geometry based on the elevations in the satellite images.. it tiles in blender so you the more you zoom the better the image quality to a point.

    Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

    I'm not sure why you want to use silicone (I assume you mean a silicone-based caulk?). Are you worried about different expansion of the metal vs wood? Silicone will accommodate that, but will provide a somewhat rubbery bond that might be a bit unsettling to people going up the stairs unless there is a tight fit between the wood and metal. But if that is the case, there won't be room for different expansion anyway! I think I would also favor an epoxy.

    Hi, if it has its advantages, for my workflow under a cost/benifit analysis and the wear and tear on my midle finger and the wear on my mouse wheel GETTING STUCK IN WALLS is lost on me. And I did a google search many others have issues with it. If it works for you guys thats great

    Box, Thanks for the suggestion I followed your suggestion; the M key brings up a 4-pointed arrow. If I trace it around the perimeter of my two screens nothing happens. If I click it exits, the 4-pointed arrow disappears. What am I doing wrong? Thank you john

    Thanks HornOxx. I tried that. Adjusted it by using perspective in Photoshop. Didn't work.

    Thank you for your reply, Yes, I do this when I have these kinds of concerns. So I had done all this two days ago without success ... Moreover I am registered on the Nvidia.fr site to be informed during updates of my graphics card driver. I just restored the settings to defaults during the 1st installation of the Nvidia driver, then I set for SU as I am used to (I always used Nvidia Quadro or Geforce drivers) and everything is returned to order. Well, in the end our exchange allowed me to resolve the problem. -Zooen

    Thanks for the reply. Well that’s good to know as I have put a fair amount of money into SU recently with plugins and 3 year renewal. I do see the power and speed of using it. I think it just needs some bits refining a little. I do agree with you with one program but it’s good to keep your hand in auto desk as that’s what most people use here in the UK.

    Remember that the "Not Responding" message doesn't mean that SketchUp has quit working. It means it's not going to respond to any further input until it's finished doing the last thing you told it to do. Purging unused stuff regularly should help reduce that. It should also help keep your file performing better.

    Probably a tag usage issue. Make sure you haven't assigned a tag to the edges and that tag isn't turned off. Make sure you are using tags correctly leaving all edges and faces untagged and only tagging objects (groups and components). Also make sure you are leaving Untagged as active. The pencil icon on the far right is always at Untagged.

    After so long, the same thing happens to me. I have installed msphysics on many other machines and have never had this problem.     You can install the stl import export tool from the extension warehouse, the one created by the sketchup team, and that will export correctly. Once installed look for a different export option in the file menu.

    I use Vray and have the same problem....so I reckon its a sketchup thing...? Luckily the Vray asset editor makes it easy to do bulk material deletes. But, it is annoying to keep having all these 'auto' materials being made.

    Hi, it seems it is not supported in sketchup 2020 and i saw some videos on youtube. I don't think that can help. I have this kind of file : Number | Width | length | height 915462 90 80 50 945126 95 75 60 914594 80 65 50 951554 92 73 61 . . . . . . . . . . . . I would like to be able to automate the creation of these shapes with the creation of a component which will not have the "number" without having each time to create a rectangle with the length and the width then use the push / pull to get the right one height.

    I try to download the file from fix4dll like in one of the comments but my antivirus don't allow it, so I download the same file from https://www.dllinstaller.com/dlls/mfc100u-dll and what to do next just put the file in the folder should that work?
