I've temporarily lost the momentum on this. I'm going to do some conventional models and then come back to Artisan. I wasn't real pleased with the park model either. So much so I took it down from my website. The beer goggles on the other hand...

This is great! Its a shame the hull is so flat so you cant see the plank details. If your putting this into a game like the last ship then I understand why but it would make for a great model! Cheers

Thanks for the clarification Richard. Gareth, sorry I missed your intent, I hope I have not come across as rude and apologise if that is the case. I have spent a lot of my time in very small rooms and the op was for a small residence for a post graduate living in their own space, possibly for the first time purchase. The second series is a study in the 10m2 student accommodation that I was looking at being proposed in Sweden I think. They had the shower above the toilet and I remember being appalled at the thought of having a shower while sitting on the loo. It came across as plain nasty to me. I also wanted an illusion of space which is why I ended up breaking the bathroom facilities into room regions instead of having the three s's in a separate room. The kitchen is still downstairs in the both versions, next to the beer cooler.

G'day Kristoff, many thanks for the great suggestions. I appreciate it and mostly totally agree with them. The model grew as my client began to like it more and more, therefore the cars and (non) doors were the results of early developments and stayed basically unchanged. Anyway the customer is very happy and I got the chance to use two of my favourite apps once again and got paid for once. Thanks again FilipK

Cheers, cheaper to print these in stainless steel than the "whole" ceramic versions and they do the same job. Just experiments....

Thanks for your comments. It's very usefull for me to know what is your perception of this kind of picture to improve the realism of trees and plants and try to integrate this into the tree plugin. Thanks Pascal

Thanks Daniel. I know what you mean. I frequently sit that way, too. It is only about 8 inches across the front, though, so it wouldn't be difficult to put your feet on either side. After I get a few other things done like my boat in the water for the summer (if that ever comes) I might build one to see how it sits. I could see a low backed version of it, too.

@cotty said: There are a lot of example models here, you can download them and play with the proxies to study their influences on the final meshes ... Excellent! Thanks! Bookmarked.

Dear Bryan, It seems to me that the main path through the park is too straight. There will be a tendency for the park to be used as a short cut and little else. I think the first thing one should see from either entrance is a foliage 'screen' (holly, bamboo, beech etc) which blocks the view of the exit. The railings look nice, but again should have a green 'screen' immediately behind to attenuate traffic noise and to create a sense of tranquility. I'm not sure I would want to sit in a park where I can see traffic passing on both sides. I think one should be able to sit around the ponds too, which means allowing space between the larger pond and the building. The vertical face of the boundary buildings offer scope for climbing plants, such as clematis and jasmine. You could use weathering steel to make frames for climbing plants. The frames could overhang into the garden proving a green canopy. In fact, fragrant hardy plants/herbs like rosemary, lavender, etc., would be nice near the seating areas. A few tall trees would be nice to shield the view of the buildings/skyline and to attenuate noise reflected off the sides of the building. A wide, long rose pergola would do the same thing, and provide a seasonal attraction (also cherry trees etc). There seems to be a lot of concrete, which will reflect noise and heat. Gravel paths would be nicer, and would allow free draining during rain storms, thus minimising run-off. The pocket park is a nice idea. Is this a real project, or just an exercise? Kind regards, Bob Kind regards, Bob
