mainly two ways: 1 - use them instead of (replacing existing icons) 2 - use when you make a menu in a plugin. usually, but not always, a part of the script that looks like this: cmd.small_icon = 'icon_16.png' cmd.large_icon = 'icon_24.png'

You can have a look at TIGs "Latticeizer", "Lattice maker" or "EEbF" (Extrude Edges by Face) plugins too.

@bob james said: Title says it all: Fredo Tools Launcher window is too small. Arrowing down does not make the list move. [attachment=0:2bnv0fad]<!-- ia0 -->FredoTools.PNG<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:2bnv0fad] There seems to have problems with the Webdialog dimensioning. Most probably you have set up your browsers with medium fonts. I'll try to have a look and fix that. At least can you navigate with the arrows? Fredo

if you find one of the plugins to generate what you want, the copying to clipboard is easy on a mac... but, generating a report for 'clipboard' is a bit pointless when you could write straight to notes or messagebox... have you used the 'Generate Report' plugin? what more or less are you hoping for... john

The normal SketchUp 2d export exports the overlays.

has anyone noticed that if you hold shift while using the freehand tool it is more precise? still blocky, but it won't simplify after you've laid the line, and it wont' snap to anything. on top of it, you can't click on those lines after laying them???

@box said: It's one of those situations where making a tree structure in the Component window would reduce the group/component argument. Not erase it but reduce it. By that I mean some way of reducing the number of or filtering out some components. Makes me wonder if an aftermarket Component Browser is possible as a plugin. D'oh, forgot about interloide's one. maybe just a new definition of what they are? (not new-- just a new way of explaining them?) i'd use components all the time if i didn't have to deal with the additional dialog.. (then further- what you're getting at.. managing of components) anyway: groups are to prevent stickyness when necessary (like- if sketchup didn't have automerging of geometry, i'd hardly ever use them anymore except when simply making a selection set) components are for what they do. i mean, that's basically what it boils down to for me but probably not any clearer to explain them that way.. i do think (fairly strongly) they both have their place in sketchup though and don't think it would be too wise to eliminate groups from the program.

So did you try installing it with the SCF PluginStore plugin? Or did you download the file as .rbz from here?

@derei said: I'm using QuadFace Tools, but only for few elements on the entire toolbar (those inside red ellipse). I don't even know how to use the others... unfortunately. I know the description could really do with improvements, but I just wanted to check if you'd seen the wiki documentation for the extension? https://bitbucket.org/thomthom/quadface-tools/wiki/Home

@jql said: @jclements said: Would there be a way for a scene to execute the extents of a model so as the geometry increases or decreases, its extents are viewed for that scene when it is first opened? That would be great if it wouldn't pervert Layout viewports. I.E. if a scene for a floor plan has a different setting than it was created it will shift inside Layout. Technically I think it is possible to do both. It would need another tickbox in the settings/edit screen for each line. Good suggestion. Will add it to the list.
