I bet there were many talks about making 2D sections from SU model organized by layers, but I couldn't find the solution for this. If some good person would be so kind to make a plugin which would automatize this process:

1 Isolate layer n, create group from slice and put it in that layer
    2 n=n+1
    3 GOTO 1.
4 In the end it could group all the sections

It would actually go trough all the layer names, not only 1,2,3 💚

    Thanks in advance

Thanks Pilou, but it seems that you did not understood my request. Create group from slice is native SU command which makes 2D group from the section. It has nothing to do with slicing geometry for which I use old "Slice model at section" plugin. The problem with Create group from slice is that it places all 2D lines on layer0, and I would like them to be on layer of the 3D element sliced. I know how to do it manually, but with many layers it is time consuming. So the plugin would be helpful.

RichSection plugin creates a section group slice with all the layer information from the base geometry. After the group is created, all you need to do is unlock it.

It really does! I like that plugin and use it, but I did not know that it has such a nice feature. THANKS for the tip!
