It all depends on how the plugin author chooses to do business. If they let Trimble handle the sales then currently Trimble doesn't work with paypal, just credit cards.
Other plugin authors who have their plugins on Extension Warehowse handle their own payment strategy. Often they do use paypal.
I have 2 plugins that are available from Sketchucation's Plugin Store and also from Trimble's Extension Warehouse. My strategy is I give you a free trial period and then if you want to purchase a license you go to my website and use paypal.
Other important things are what kind of a license - subscription, perpetual, major version upgrades etc. How many computers can you install the plugin on? etc. etc.
Plugin author's may allow you to send a money order etc. Send them a PM (personal message) and ask.

hello Garry
more Options is ever the best Solution.
The TargedGroup isn´t only a professional User. We have many semiprofessional User and Hobby User, too.
Different license-Models Trail-, Free-,Shareware and Educationware is a good Solution.
Some times it´s difficult to finish a Project inside of 30 Days. Than is a LicenseModel (paying per Month a better solution).
Some Plugin Developer finance other Project with plugins. In the first time you must pay..and some times later this plugin is freeware ( Visulizer or the ipad App to work with lightup models. is a good example.)
Sometimes I´m sad about this. Developer don´t tell this in the payment time (time before this plugin/app will be freeware.)
Ok the Developer can choose this Licensemodel what the best for the Developer. however Developer must keep in mind, that the User have a finance plan, too.
A short development circle (Version 1.3 as last Version (Vizulizer)) produce a little bit frustration by the Customer.
Ok financing other Projects is good, this is not my problem if i stand to benefit from an other plugins in the pipeline.ok to many offtopic i see.
thank you for your fast answer..and i will look at your plugins, too.
Edit:
Garry your plugins look very professional..i believe this is more for professional users.
Your Doormaker could be a windowsmaker too.is the Cutmaker a windows designer or what is this?

The only reason Vizualizer became freeware is because the product got discontinued. It was never in their plans to make it freeware. They made it freeware simply to be nice. Many other companies would have just pulled the plug and not even bother pushing their latest updates before turning away.

@ThomThom..yes i have read this on the webpage.
and yes this is friendly..so can all other use this now for free. i will hope the source code is free,too..so could an other developer develop an further version... -
deaneau,
It is in my plans to add more functionality to door maker. I will add a sill and some additional interacts so it can build windows.
Currently the only closet doors are bifolds or standard opening. I want to add horizontal sliding doors / windows. I also want to add in glazing and more handles.
Right now I'm playing with XE8 and FireMonkey. My C++ code will become multi platform. Windows 32, Windows 64, OSX 32, Android and IOS - all from a single code base. I'm in the process of porting over CutMasterPro which is similar to CutListPlus but has a few differences including price. Then I will port over CabMaker32 using FireMonkey UI.
I'm always open to listen to wish lists.

this is the best solution. your target group will be bigger.
i´ll hope that apple provide older versions, too. some new apps will only work on IOS7-8 (IOS7+).
i have seen, too, that my downloaded apps drive only on IOS7+. I have try to download this on IOS6 and the itunes store ask me." do you want download the latest version for your IOS?" OK i downloaded.
However if i try to download this on an other device (IOS6) from a colleague its not possible.with other words "The early bird catches the worm".
I have read..that older devices slow down with newer IOS´s.
ok this is normal, some times..is the same on PC and MAC,too. Some Apps could drive on this old device however Apple don't want this really. This is only a good will. If i have pay for the App i can use this with my Device. An other extreme is, that i can´t download all Apps outside of the U.S.A.
If i try to search via Webbrowser..some times i can find Apps. If i try to download this via Itunes in an EU-Country... " is not possible to download" or "this App is not available in an European country" etc.
The reason is some times, that this App is forbidden in Europe etc. etc.You see we are not global on the globe.
other example is YOUTUBE:
some videos we can´t see.
why?
the video producer have music in background that touch music rights in Europe etc...Dean in Berlin
