@sumaster said: Hello sir, Its working thank you. But when i select group or component plugin only apply group and component. But can you do Set Layer all objects and faces included into the group or component. Thanks, Edges and Faces [aka 'Raw' Geometry] should almost always be on Layer0. That is why it's excluded from any Selection processed by this Plugin... If you really must do this [often a recipe for disaster later down the line!] then simply edit the container Group/Component and Edit > Select All... Then use Entity Info to reset the Layer to one off the drop-down list...

Not a dumb question. Sometimes it's the little things that make all the difference, though.

The guide-lines/points need to be selected. So you need to edit the 'container' - group or component. Then you can save the proxy inside the container itself. To save a proxy outside of the container could lead to all sorts of confusion. If you moved the component in the model its disconnected cpoints would not move with it...

Lovely Plugin! Still valid and useful in 2015! Your generosity is appreciated! Great for connecting x,y,z coordinates exported from Excel and plotted using the Points Cloud import function. http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=253563#p253563 I use it for path center line slopes. Keep up the good work! Cheers! Miner_Jeff

Seasdes, just in case someone dares challenge me to a lazy duel...zzzzz, i'm ready! 2 things come to mind, a plugin could be written such that when activated, waits for you to click on a face or edge, finds all connected geometry and groups it. another is that you could have a key that works as start and end time ie. press the key > draw > press the key again. everything drawn between presses will be grouped. quite like the first option, many times i have to draw many sections and group them at the start of a project. this could save a few precious minutes and clicks, which could go towards my alarm clock.

Ok, so then it's a matter of you implementing the compare overlapping edges in nested groups?

Thank you so much Didier for making all these wonderful plugins for free. All of them are saving from hours of extra work, very useful for architectural work ! Sketch Up users have almost nothing to envy to 3DS Max users, with a good practice skp can do almost anything thanks to developpers like you, TomTom, Tig, Fredo etc Good work guys

@tig said: @onzki said: By the way TIG, I noticed that the list of existing layers won't allow me to scroll down to see more layers- is there a new version that can scroll along the list? This is a known limitation of the UI.inputbox drop-down list. However, it is not insurmountable... To pick a layer-name that is off the end of the list... Select the drop-down box so it highlights, immediately type in the start of the layer name [DO NOT press <enter>] - e.g. X The listing now jumps to show perhaps " Xref-1" If you want " Xref-3" press the down arrow key to page to it. If you want " Wins" and are currently at " Xref-1" then use up arrow key presses to get to it... Works like a charm! Thanks a lot!

@lodewijk said: But its still not in the tab Extensions, [highlight=#ffff80:adar9nmm]from where you always open an extension[/highlight:adar9nmm] when needed. This is the assumption that is making you stall. A lot of plugins are not accessed from the Extensions Menu. Some of them are contextual, like this one; Some of them are inside other menus, like Fredo's usually are inside tools; Some are accessed by Toolbars; Some are accessed when singing to the right rithm; Some of them are not accessed at all and only show up on an event, Like componente flag, wich only pops up when you edit a component; Etc...

In the case of the Toolbox A2, that's not so much a matter of copyright protection than a question of maintenance and support of the scripts. So reference OK, embedding NO. Fredo
