Can this not add the Proxy Layer on right-click if I've a cLine selected but no intention of activating Guide to Proxy?

It is adding the Layer on every right click....

it is a nice idea
to save like the pattern of a model made of components, being able to remove it for distribution, and restore it for internal purposei tried, but the cpoints embedded in components are not saved by the the plugin

The guide-lines/points need to be selected.
So you need to edit the 'container' - group or component.
Then you can save the proxy inside the container itself.
To save a proxy outside of the container could lead to all sorts of confusion.
If you moved the component in the model its disconnected cpoints would not move with it...
