Hi,
hard to have a correct answer on your problem... but i agree with the fact that some plugins may slow down the start of sketchup.
does a light/simple file take a few minutes to open or is it only on some big files with vray parameters/materials ?
you should uninstall all your plugins and install them one by one, beginning first by vray, to check which one makes troubles.

RE: Object ID renders black
Hi.
Click on the material in the material list of the vray panel.
Then go to the material options on the right (click on the arrow).
Next, click on Options, and Color.
Now you will be able to change the black ID Color by the wished color.Edit : my bad, didn't see you was talking about ObjectID. My instructions were for the MaterialID render.

you can avoid this yellow light by going in Indirect illumination, and put Saturation to 0

RE: V-ray / podium
Yeah, hard to give you a good answer...
I have tried many sketchup renders : kerkythea, podium, maxwell, twilight, lumion, v-ray...
They are all fine, but i prefer v-ray. I have the feeling that i can more control my architectural renders. But parameters are complex. Podium and Kerkythea are easier to handle.
Besides, Kerkythea is free. -
