Tonight's Render 3000x2250 Image looking from altar towards front doors with depth of field effect to focus eye on roundal in front of altar (I hope ) Click to View Progress - Updated every 10mins Edit: Instead of creating a new post, I'll just edit this one. Here's the finished render and the pure SU view: [image: Test24-Easy09-F14-Exp20.jpg] [image: Test24-SU.jpg] Something is not quite right with the rendering, if your look at the roundal on the floor you can see 1/4 of it look different, I've make it in 4 quarters so I could get 4x1200pix images for the texture(s). In every other view its fine, I changed nothing and all the settings match in the 4 materials so I'm not sure what's going on.

Have you been commissioned by Zaha to do model/renders or this just play? What modeling and what rendering software did you use?

@unknownuser said: I think I will eventually purchase CB. I think so, too. I didn't notice the shade removal. It eliminates these marked problems. Here a more difficult test. A coin. A friend posted a scanned image. His scanner has a very narrow angle for lighting. Difficult then. Another cycles render. Just a low poly cylinder, bumps only, no displacements. Works for distant camera, complicated scenes. [image: coinss.jpg]

@unknownuser said: I don't know who the ruby's author is. You can easily remove any camera the plugin added. The way it works, is that it actually adds a camera model to your scene -you can simply delete that model. As for the camera's position, you can edit its height and tilt via the plugin, and you can quite simply use SU's native tools to move it about or rotate it. Efficient, and totally WYSIWYG. sounds like a great script to me. i'd like to download it if you don't mind. thank you

My shop is a mess right now. I'll have to do some major cleaning before making those 360 images.

Nice job on the pipe work mate, I know myself just how hard this would be without the option of SU and NOT end up with an issue somewhere! Reminds me of a job given to me as a drafty and still a teenager. I had to do all the layout drawings, pipework, steel fabrication, concete and reo details and scheduling and ALL BY HAND and with just drawing board and calculator - problem was the project was 4 cylindrical tanks with conicle roofs and octagonal walkways / access around the top and landing on the cone. BY HAND WT_? For a kid! Talk about thrown in the deep end! @pbacot said: Excellent, Excellent! Great to see your work. Given your subject matter you might look at other methods of rendering, ala Iakov Tchernikov... Peter Wow - I'd love to see that too!

Thanks @mitcorb said: Very unique scene. I like this a lot for the effects. I like how the roof is transparent and the floor has that foggy reflection and we get just enough hint of that badass aircraft. Very classic graphic on the right background. This whole composition is not run of the mill. All of this came out when I clicked for the larger image. Kudos to you, Liam. Cheers, I already knew exactly what I the scene to look like before I had exported to THEA. The hanger is just from the warehouse, I am making my own to complete the piece. Still working on some of the finer details, was going to populate the scene with technicians, vehicles and crew but I think its best to keep it sparse. Havent had time to play with Thea for an age so just getting back into the swing of it. My main weakness is lighting so need to fiddle with that. Will be heading over to the Thea forums tonight to try and pick up some tips and crit for the scene.

it's been almost 2 years since I last opened my sketchucation account. I'm proud to say that I'm officially an Architect already. And I'm now working on the expansion projects of enchanted kingdom (my thesis). Did I say thesis projects do come true? I'm glad that mine did. I also had the privilege to experience a design charette with Arch. Michael Lee (michaelleedesign.com). This could be my stepping stone to work for Disney someday.

Joel- I'm running; i7 @ 2.67GHz, 9GB ram, NVIDIA GeForce 240 w/1GB ram, 64 bit system. This model; 471,088 edges, 186,913 faces, 354 component defs, 117 materials. No noticeable performance issue until I get to 1,000,000 or more edges.

Great work If they had manufactured these back in the Fab Four's heyday, would probably go for a tidy sum on Ebay today.
