@hellnbak said: Just found this thread (because of the previous post). Very nice work I love detailed models, and this certainly qualifies. Did you ever get around to adding the textures? I just got around to seeing the movie a couple of months ago, loved it. Unfortunately I watched it at home, no hi-def or 3D, so I undoubtedly missed a lot, but still it was a very good movie. Someday I'll move up to whatever century we are now in. Maybe. Probably not Well I went away from that design and went for a Navy version of the one from the movie, you can see it in this thread: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=333&t=18543&start=285 As I was making so many things that are on going I put everything in one thread rather than having multiple open ones, Sometimes I may work on 4-5 models at one time so no point cluttering up the forum. Wow thats a year old, just noticed!!

Allan Mate you really have a great handle on this workflow!! I'm still anal about verts being maintained though even in NPR and maybe even more so! Just a slight camera tilt would have fixed this.

Having seen her close up, leave her in, leave her in, by all means Who cares if she's out of place. Maybe she's ok and everything else is out of place

Impressive work If you accomplished that during the trial period, I would definitely invest the money. Would love to see what you could accomplish after getting more experience with it

Jeff and Bob, thanks. two interesting buildings! I will have to search for more images of these. The Wyntoon house looks great wish I could render in that style. TIG, I've been considering Cragside since you first mentioned her, I have a lot of images but only a small floor plan, although Google Earth should help. I was planning stopping off at Cragside when returning from Scotland last summer but the kids were creating so much I gave it a miss. Got them home quicker so I could kick their heads in!!! thanks John

Hi I have not used this plug in, but I seem to think you have Maxwell so you could use the proxies thing. Though I have had the odd quirky result using it.

Hey Dug I'm glad you see it as a possibility! I think the two marry up fairly well together. I think if it ever comes to reality you would need to ensure the off form features actually create options for boulder problems. It might be the case of creating a dummy reverse side from ply in workshop and purchase a host of proprietary holds. Cover the wall with these and get a "good" climber in to ensure problems exist and where improvements might be made. Then take a sheet of welded wire mesh or expanded metal and push it to trace or replicate this layout. Then shape to add some 3d texture in the areas between the holds. Remove the mesh and spray with a rubberised texture finish to close holes in the mesh which then becomes the liner for the forms. Really hope this becomes a reality.

My eyeballs are pretty busy right now, but I'll let you know if they're ever available. In addition to eyeballing the live action scenes, the camera was on a tripod and stationary, so the camera "movements" were actually done by the actors being directed by me. The thought/dream bubbles by themselves were lost amidst the background scenes and the outlining was the only solution I found to get them to stand apart from the background. I do see what you're saying though, cheers. Your enthusiastic response to this is great, Thanks Richard! Since I sunk a ton of my own funds into this project and don't anticipate making any of it back, the verbal responses I receive mean everything! They are also a deciding factor towards me doing a follow up story or not. Thanks again mate, Steven

Hell, stairs are so regulated here that all the stairways I really love could never be built here. Actually (good observation)when the house is built these will probably be a landscape element. No real excuse for omitting them
