Dave I remember when I first saw some of your machinery SketchUp models. They are very good indeed. Now render that puppy πŸ˜„

Dave mate please excuse my dumb! How does it work? Router draws back and fourth through a the ply? Should the ply be at least half spindle distance from the edge? Or is the ply moving right to left with recess in the bed edge for the router?

              Richard,

Here's a photo of the machine in my shop without the router and the plate. When the router is plunged down, the cutter slides back into the gap near the center. The work is clamps to the long rail which slides side to side as the crank on top is turned. that hole is connected to the black tube sticking out to the right which gets hook up to the shop vac or dust collector for chip extraction.

Here's a view from below showing a thing called a "sugar tong vise" designed to hold a round column for a small table for cutting dovetail sockets to receive the legs.

And here it is set up for cutting the pins of a dovetail joint.

That's it, as soon as I can find time I'm gonna go set fire to my pitiful little woodshop πŸ˜’

Before you do, have you got any good wood? πŸ˜„

Maybe you should get one of these. It's really a handy machine.

My shop is a mess right now. I'll have to do some major cleaning before making those 360 images.
