Looks good Ricardo. The only thing that really bothers me is the wall texture on the left - it appears the texture isn't tiling well, and producing a horizontal line near the top of the artwork. The only other thing I would suggest is add a magazine or two (or something) on the coffee table to give it that "lived-in" look.

Brothers, and Sisters, MS is pure inspiration. I've got this whole awesome deal -- time consuming, and of course powerful, but what the Jack bird is new about that? Durant "I'll draw your mutant little kids then" Hapke

@sketchy said: I am assuming that what is in color is what is being remodeled exactly, sketchy. thanks, tina. this way of presenting my ideas is an attempt at being coherent with the architecture i do, which tries to employ as few elements as possible to solve a problem.

Thanks everyone I've been out of town for a couple of weeks. Trying to get back on track only to leave again. At least the next trip will be sort of a vacation I'm looking forward to it. Thanks again!!

Very nice work. I like all three. I like the contrast of the first image - it would jump out beautifully on the front of a promotional brochure, for example. I like the overall mix of the second image - most pleasing to the eye - soft mixing of the trees (I like the soft transition from sky to tree on the left better than the lined delineation of the tree on the right), and the hard lines of the building stand out nicely. The style of the third image may have its place (bold!), but I feel like this particular perspective is constrained - like I want to see more of the houses, I'm trapped in an alleyway... and how did this great big tree get here? I can see how it could be cozy, but something about this view makes it feel a little closer to claustrophobic - and the trees are devouring the houses. I'm exaggerating, but you get the idea... fwiw Much respect for your work, Nick

Joe, This third one is really interesting. The way You placed the angle of the cam and inserted the background gives a feeling that it is a huge model. great work. Mateo.

Thanks, Paul, for the great advice. I am just about to start populating this quadrant with "stuff"; I have been looking forward to this for weeks. I think trees will make a huge difference, too. My glass is opaque, since all of the buildings are just shells, but I will experiment with a bluer glass and see what it looks like. I am torn with the pavement. Right now, I am just using a solid color because I find that the asphalt textures really flicker badly when animating. I agree that I need to do something to make the roads look more realistic. Thanks again for taking the time to jot down your suggestions.

hmmm...workflow..haha..it varies i guess... i use whatever reference material is given and figure out the plan and pull up the walls.. add the doors, windows, etc.. then go into the details.. whatever interests me at the time..i have a short attention span so i really jump around from placing small elements on a desk... to modelling the ceiling..haha.. i try to use as many components as possible to help make detailing as easy as possible....i try to use desks and tables, etc as frequently as i can... mirroring and rotating them to help with the 'randomness'.... i dont know if that is too descriptive, but like i said...it varies with the project and with my attention span

Pilou, Thanks for pointing out TopMod. It looks amazing, as do the models created with it. The thing I like about SketchUp is that it puts the fewest barriers between me and the computer model. What SketchUp lacks in tools and capabilities it more than makes up -at least for me- in simplicity, intuitiveness and fluidity. Fred
