The entrance is not realistic - you would wreck the bottom of the car driving into it - it is way too steep IMHO.

What is the reason to have a car in the dinning room? If it's not tactless, of course, maybe it's for handiccaped people or such thing

Hi Billet! I think also lighting doesn't help to integrate elements, too much diffuse and without shadows like about half hour after sunset, even a real photography could seem fake Cheers

That's a really neat concept. I hope to see what you make of it. Definitely a lot of vegetation, some water, mixed with some ultra-modern black and chrome, that would be cool.

Yes It's a quick NPR First I render my model with Twilight, I use only the water material and the glass material of twilght, And I setup a Spherical sky, shadow at 10. I don't edit any texture (no bump, no reflection.) I use a gray scale image from SU, I choose multiply layer on gimp or photoshop and transparency at 25%. I think that the image rendered and the shadow with Twilight even in small setting have a good quality.

awsome. the only thing i can think of is to make your lights some yellow some orange (very close together)to give more of a candle lit/shadow effect.

I added a few new images. If you are inside a building like this you can hardly see the print, on the outside it will look like this. I should redo these images because on some the print looks like a snowy sticky powder.

Thanks very much again everyone. Brodie - No, this was just something to explore. I do a lot of drudgery SketchUp at work. I wanted to try and do some organic shapes and see if I could manage it. It can really get complicated trying to move, rotate and basically stay oriented with a myriad of obscure surfaces from every perspective when in close. Also - wow! thanks EarthMover for the extra nice compliment and taking the image and giving it another artistic angle. I have more normal or realistic wings that I may work into the model. When experimenting with the wings, I really liked the semi-transparent 'black onyx' surface and went with it. I DO realize it shifts the insect more into the fantasy realm. Here's another detail. This close in you can begin to see the facets of the compound eyes are not small enough and not rounded hexigonal I did try for the correct shape and size of the cells or facets, but again, it brings my hardware and/or the software to its knees and locks up during rendering. @dermotcoll said: Ist image is somewhat confusing due to the viewpoint - wasnt sure what I was looking at with the handles for the shower enclosure seemingly in mid air. Everything else looks good. Thanks for your reply. The view is taken from the shower encloser. I was having lot of reflection on the enclosure glass earlier and was not able to see the washbasin unit clearly. Hence tried to lower the reflection in glass material. But you are right. The handles do seem in mid air. I have to find the right value of IOR for this rendering.
