Or if you perfer a more simpler way, try Proper Animation or Mover, both are the same but try both. If you want more complex animation you should check out animation software.

If you can't set the scale on import then you can fix it afterwards... You can group the imported geometry [if not already grouped] and scale it manually... If you know exactly what size one object should be then edit the group and with the Tapemeasure Tool pick the two points on that object [might say 400mm in the VCB] and then immediately type in the correct size + <enter> [say 4mm] - you are then asked if you want to scale everything - say Yes... Everything inside the group is scaled [you can do the rescaling to the whole model but only use this IF there is nothing preexisting that was the right scale already...]

Hey Jeff, Keep in mind too, that a lot of guys find better results by exporting a 2D image at a really large pixel size (4-5K) and then reducing the size with a photo editor. Depending on your graphics card, sometimes, SU's built in Anti Aliasing can still leave things a bit choppy if you zoom in at all and saving it larger than needed and then reducing it after will leave a really crisp lined drawing, especially for printing. Also good when using them to send to clients who you know they are going to zoom in and "look around". I know other members were also finding it took longer to save a file at a moderate size with AA turned on, than it did to save a file at three times the resolution with no AA. Just something to keep in mind when you play around with the export settings. Best of luck!

Hi folks. And, since SU will not accept a scale factor of 0.001, you need to do it in two steps, 0.1 and then 0.01 or the reverse. Just ideas.

If you study the figure/model on which you drew the red things, you can learn how to do what you want. Start with the first notes at the bottom of the model. For instance: start with a circle on the ground, then use pushpull tool to make a cylinder. Select the top face, then scale face larger or smaller than the original diameter. This model is an excellent way to learn these techniques. EDIT: ok I see that others have posted.

Thanks mate, How bizzare, it works now! I have honestly turned it on and off a few times! I have however had a dodgy internet connection today so I wonder if it is something to do with not having web access or something?! Thanks for your reply.

Dylan, thanks I will give that a try and let you know how it works out. There is no over hang just a rectangle the same size as the building below. I still have a lot to learn with the axis tool and inference engine thing. ALW

BTW, a drop that is freely falling is round. The "drop" form exists only for a very very short time after the falling material has detached itself from the source. [image: water_drop.jpg]
