Once I complete a landscape design, how do I go about saving a particular perspective as a picture that I can e mail?
How do you copy an image from somewhere and turn it into a material. Example: mulch, wall stone, etc. I've tried with no success, I've tried creating a folder with in my materials folder in Sketchup and downloading it there, I've tried importing directly into sketchup, some images are JPG's so I turn them into Skp files and nothing!!

Let's not talk about "images" (they are 2D raster file formats like jpg or png) but "models" that you can download from the warehouse.
See the screenshot - whatever you download from the warehouse into your "In model" (temporary) library, you can simply drag and drop into the secondary window > libraries (that is on your Hard Drive)
Thanks for your help Csaba!
I'm trying to insert a set of steps on to the back porch of a house. How do you set it up before pulling the object into the design? I figured it was like attaching the roof but no luck. Also, does anybody know a good plugin for vinyl decks and steps?
What if I want to take an image directly from 3D warehouse to a collection?

Hi Jeff,
If you have the images you want to bring in to SU, go to File > Import, select the file type, set if you want to import it as image or texture (images are independent entities while textures can only applied on existing geometry) and import.
Once in the model, you can always save it into an existing or new collection for further use.
Practically the same with components - you can (for instance) import them then reuse them later.
Have you got any specific idea or issue with whichever?
Hey guys, new to the forum and program for that matter. I'm using the program for landscape/hardscape design. I can't figure out how to import new materials, components and textures into sketchup. Things like paver galleries and wall stone galleries from unilock I can't figure for the life of me how to bring this into the program and establish permanent libraries or collections.

The process is to extract the files to your SketchUp plugins folder. It doesn't matter where you save the .zip file as long as you can find it to extract from it. And then extract the contects into the plugins folder. Once you get how to do it, it is very simple and all other plugins work the same.
Do I have to manually remove every file in the folder or can I just hit "extract"? Some other plugins had to be opened this way for me to get them to work. Also can I just import the "Selection Toys" download or do I also need to bring that TTLib file also?

No Selection Toys under the Tools menu? that's very odd...
how/where did you install the files?
I sent the file to the plugins folder on my C drive and extracted it there.I also took in the TTLib folder that I thought I needed for the plugin to work. But when I open the TTLib file up there's another selection toys folder in there. I'm thankful for your for your patience. I'm new with this program.I've been trying to download this file for 3 days and I'm ready to lose it. Isn't the process to send these plugins to the plugins folder in C drive and simply hit extract and enable them in sketchup?
My Tools button in the program does not have a "selection toys" button as an option to select in order to enable it.
