@mrossk said: Due to costs and time restraints the holes didn't make it to the actual job, but it turned out nice I was just gonna ask about the holes! Yeah, it would have meant making a jig for the router then cut the holes out, round off the holes and then sanded them. Plywood is a pain in the butt to sand, I wish I had a router bit that could sand and cut at the same time- that would be a great time saver.

Thanks for the help. I currently use Solidworks in my business. My brain has been conditioned to expect the program to react a certain way. I usually see "create drawing" and then I insert the model. I will get used to it. Thanks again. Tom

@timdean said: ......I cannot get shadows to project on the ground, or even clearly on surfaces as I have seen in others' architectural models. All that happens as I slide time and date is a subtle variation in shading on surfaces until it blacks out. Any suggestions? Where are your axes? See if reset is available if you right click on an axes in empty space. (Ground plane [R/G] for some reason could very well be 100m above your modeling space).

@pbacot said: If you have other objects that you don't want resized, make the atm entities into a group or component. Edit the group and perform the tape measure rescaling there, protecting the rest of the model. The rescale works on all object in the current "context" didn't know that! this should be copied to the 'Doh!' thread ... (edit) that is to say, the SU manual/tutorials explains (at least, when I read them)that the tape measure rescaling technique controls the complete drawing file, not that it can be limited to individual groups/components

I did find the plugin kind of useful, did help me a bit, even tho it doesnt seem to handle subdivided complex models perfectly, tried to texture a "cave"! That gave me 1500 errorrs on faces and didnt texture anything, as far as i know the model isnt badly built either! Any suggestion on that? Or am i using it wrong maybe?

Actually, for something like your ramp I might have modeled a bit of the house for context. No textures and probably a different line style for those edges but that would help to make the size of the ramp understandable. Oh well, on to the next project for you now.

Thank you Dave R. Ye. Had a virus issue after plugging my H/D into someone else's Laptop. Spent days sorting out permissions. Anyway, thanks again.

Sorry Joe. My answer is, it depends. I mostly use the Classic Bezier Spline. It seems to do what I need for most curves.

@tig said: Your final paragraph is what worries me... IF you were unable to add files to the Plugins folder then there should be warning messages... If I fiddle with my permissions to limit them I get error messages and can't continue. It never let's me think I've installed it OK when I have not... So whatever subtlety of permission settings you had tricked it into thinking it can work, and that it had worked - it is perplexing Well, that's exactly why I responded to this thread. It sounded like the OP's problem was the same. No warning, and no effect. The solution is simple, the source of the problem - who knows? Like I said before - no activity in the Ruby console with this error.

Why is the drawing size 371.44" by 236.14"? Seems to me that would be a pretty big molding profile. Or a clue as to what the problem is. It would be helpful to see the SKP file.
