The more specific the question and the more informative the subject line (RE: hello!), the happier the outcome, all things being equal, maybe.

@jean lemire said: Hi folks. The choices to make a group or a component with a single entity are not available in the context menu. However, they are alwaysavailable in the Edit Menu. Just ideas. Therefore, select something and the use Window > Preferences > Shortcuts to make a shortcut key-combo to that very 'edit' command... and then you won't need a context-menu at all So if G were 'Make Component' then Shift+G could be 'Make Group'... etc etc...

Yes it can be done in the free version, you need to install an animation plugin first, proper animation which is free but rotation animation using this will have to be done at the origin, then there is keyframe_animation which comes at a price but is very cheap considering what it can do

Fast Stone Photo Resizer. Free for home use only - but you know that I never sell any video anyway. It can batch resize, batch crop and all those things. Custom AA settings and alike.

See all the advice above. Also, you could post the URL of that clock face so we could give specific suggestions.

Ah YES!, gregw, that did it! Including the top edge of the extrusion profile closed the final miter. Many thanks Gaieus, Alan, and gregw for your help. I appreciate it greatly. Whew! Now I can move on to other things. Thank you.

I simply sampled itfrom the surface of that tile. Enter the editing context of the section cut face (it's a group, so double click on it) Select the Paint bucket tool Press the Alt button (the tool will turn into a sampler or "eyedropper") click on the coloured tile release the Alt button and paint the section cut face. If you have more complex shapes and materials, you may even wish to adjust the position if needed and achieve different, nice "cut" effects. The LO vector view should show the background color as setup for the style that is saved with the scene. It won't show ground, sky, or watermarks. If the SU background is set to low or no opacity, Vector view will reflect that. The LO SketchUp model view can also have a color "fill" set in the window "Shape Style". One way that what you describe can happen is if the background color in SU is set to white and transparent. This shows solid white in LO under "raster", but becomes clear under "vector". If the model view has a blue fill per the "Shape Style" window, then you would see that with vector. Unclick the fill and you would remove the blue color.

I didn't watch the video, but it probably mentioned Carnegie-Mellon in connection with their huge database of mocap files which are now freely available. I was initially intrigued by this plugin, but having gone into it in more depth...and seen the pricing structure...it's likely that you could achieve much the same result within SketchUp, for far less money, using the Keyframe Animation plugin...or get far more bang for your bucks using iClone.

It seems that the ToolsOnSurface plugin is not installed properly, and/or perhaps it is missing the supporting files in the 'Lib' folder ? Go back to original download page and read exactly how it must be installed, and also get the supporting files that are required too [it's clearly noted and linked off]. Extract the archives as directed and install all of the files and subfolders-of-files as set out... Never ever move files into Plugins out of the subfolders that they arrived in inside the zip etc... If you have done this then you will need to tidy up the wayward files before restarting Sketchup...
