      Hi everyone,
I've been using SU for a while now and bought Pro 8 recently. Most of my issues involve interaction between SU and Layout 3. My focus is on construction documents. Thanks in advance for the help.

      1. Changes in SU are not reflected in LO. In sketchup, I right click on scene tab and hit update and the LO does not change.

      2. In LO, when I switch to vector, my background goes from the white I set up in SU to a blue color. Why?

Any help is much appreciated. If these exact issues are addressed somewhere else, a point in the right direction would work.

You cannot update the model in Lo from the scenes tab in SU.

To update the model/scene in LO. select model/ right click/ update.
Or. File/ document setup/ select file/ click update.

For the blue background, check your paper colour in file/ doc setup/ paper/color.
Not sure that's the problem, but its all that occurs to me.
        Hope this helps.

The LO vector view should show the background color as setup for the style that is saved with the scene. It won't show ground, sky, or watermarks. If the SU background is set to low or no opacity, Vector view will reflect that.

The LO SketchUp model view can also have a color "fill" set in the window "Shape Style". One way that what you describe can happen is if the background color in SU is set to white and transparent. This shows solid white in LO under "raster", but becomes clear under "vector". If the model view has a blue fill per the "Shape Style" window, then you would see that with vector. Unclick the fill and you would remove the blue color.
